Truck intake just fits under the hood. You can get more clearance by deleting the AC compressor or notch the frame for it like another guy on here did.
A taller intake is supposed to be a gain of about 10hp but that's at 6000 rpm. Rear world driving is going to be minimal gain for way too much...
His was done from the passenger side. It's been a couple years but i remember straightening out the stock linkage plate so it stuck out into the bottom of the tunnel. I grabbed a shifter bracket off another transmission and bolted that to the bottom of the tunnel with a piece welded to it to...
Mine grinds if I don't shift quick but I figured it had something to do with the part time spool I put in the t-case. If the tranny is in neutral and I shift the t-case to neutral for a second, I need to shut it down to pick high or low range. No problems if I do it quick.
Anyone had any experience with this rad? I am wondering if their fans push enough CFM Aluminum Radiator + Fan Shroud For Toyota Landcruiser 80 SERIES FJ FZJ80R 93-97 763852617696 | eBay
Did you ground the brown and white wires with black stripe coming out of the t-case harness? That was my issue with my '97's speedo. The tach on my '97 was easy with the dakota box using the black wire with silver bands that went to the toyota PCM
I have windstar fans on mine right now that do a great job of keeping it cool but hate how much current they draw. I'd like to go back to the clutch fan at some point.
Need to know wire colors behind glove box for tach, fuel pump, park neutral reverse. I think that's all I used on my '97. Does the '93 have a CEL in the cluster?
In the process of LS swapping a friend's '93 cruiser and now realizing that my '96 wiring diagrams are quite a bit different. Does anyone have a PDF of the '93 wiring diagrams they could send me?
What's the latest with tuning the PCM to run the tach? When I did mine I used a Dakota digital tach driver to convert the signal to run the stock tach. I recall reading about someone turning the PCM to run the toyota tach directly. What do I tell my tuner to do with that?
I noticed a big difference on my 6.0 between the stock intake box and open filter at 2000 rpm+. I made a big hole on the front side of the intake and glued in a 3" ABS (cleanout?) fitting that I can thread a blank plug into. This helped a lot with power.
