Have you checked the slip joint, they will wear a bit and can cause a vibration/noise.

I agree with Pablo, Evan doesn't say much, but when he does I listen. My new fire extinguisher is on the way, on board for the Pig Party.

Well, that leaves me out.

Huh? We all have old FJ55s and we care about them all, that's why we're here. I put out a carb fire for a guy in the 70's and he wanted to deck me for screwing up his carb with the powder from the ABC extinguisher, sometimes new tech is good. 🤷‍♂️ We're all here to learn, share and just...

I'm sold, I watched the Jay Leno video about it and it looks to be something we all should have on board. Thanks Evan!

Bummer, but you didn't make the mistake, they did.

Toyo tires seem to be good tires, at least for me. I run them on the wagon and my Ram 5500.

15" tires like that are getting really hard to find, especially if you happen to be out of town and need one. Maybe think about going to 16" wheels that have a broader selection.

Yeah, I talking more about just dropping in a whole pumpkin. I would think you could get a 3.70 gear set for an earlier axle.

I'm no wizz on any of the late stuff, but do they have the same axle spline count as a 72?

My memory was a little fogged in high school, too. :smokin:

So, you're doing the rear axle. The front is different with it's own messiness.

Yeah, I guess it depends on what your plans for it is. Really using it off road or running on rock roads will chip up everything. I haven't tried Cerakote, but J Mack likes it.

I had the same problem. The powder didn't get all the way in between the two pieces and started to rust down the road. They looked great for a season. Spray bomb for me from now on.

Welcome to the group and thanks for doing this now while your Dad is still with you. I watched my Father go down hill for ten years before dementia finally took him. Post up any questions as I'm sure we all could help get it going. One question on your nice parts wagon, what happened to that...
