I already told you that the 850j/863 (no spacers) is a very nice stance near level, maybe a touch high in the rear which is favorable for cargo weight. ARB calls these springs “heavies” but I was never impressed. A simple weekend camping load pushes them down a quite a bit. If you don’t...

The short answer is yes, things will be fine after you drop 2” and probably better. If you plan to keep the 850j springs up front after removing the spacer then the standard 863 will give you a very close to level stance to slightly higher in the rear when the rig is unloaded. This is the...

@Topi79 Actually, down travel would be lost but if the vehicle will only see smoother terrain this should not be an issue. What may be concerning is the fact that the shocks presently on the vehicle are valved to control the lighter duty oem springs and during even moderate off road use the...

I would expect that the 91 springs are lighter duty than 93 plus due to the later models having a full float rear axle assembly which can carry more weight.

You could probably try them out and then educate us.

For an inch or less? A simple spacer will satisfy.

If the cone bumpstop was simple to drop, we would all be doing it. Actually, the cone bumpstop should be an inch, or maybe more, closer to the axle because it’s the one that would touch and compress easing the impact that is felt when coming down in the frame stop abruptly. My solution...

Most, if not every, Dobinson spring has lifted the installers vehicle more than advertised. Your report is out of the norm. Also, the 3fe does not weight 600# more than the 1fz. That would put the 3fe at nearly 1200#. The 3fe might weigh 100# more. Someone here knows for sure.

Are you sure that your rear springs are in the proper location? The need for a 30mm spacer on either side seems odd especially on the passenger since the vehicle is naturally heavier on the driver side. I run Slee heavies and a 10mm spacer on the driver side rear to help level it laterally.

The flexi green coils appear to be of the same design as FOR in the photo above. @half k cruiser installed 3” Flexi’s earlier this year and did a good write up with photos and follow up review.

My point is, don’t go and try to order Dobinson “dual rate coils”. They don’t exist on the menu. But, “Tapered” coil are on dobinson’s menu. Simply a matter of semantics. The tapered coil has a greater constant load carry capacity (rate) than the Flexi coil which is all one diameter...

With the Dobinson taperd 3.5” coil and a 1” spacer, my hub to naked fender lip is 25.25”-25.5” (its that bend around the tire). Dobinson does not sell a coil marketed as “dual rate”. Their “tapered” front coil could probably be classified as dual rate I suppose. Their other option...
