    Weber 38 Jetting

Hello all, Can anyone that is running a Weber 38 recommend a guide on proper jetting? Or suggest a jetting that works for them? I need to get a good baseline, or least go back to what was stock (which I don't know how these shipped originally). Most time spent at 2100 feet with my occasional...

    Carburetor Rebuild

Hi all, Looking for recommendations for someone who can rebuild my carb. I’m aware that Jim @FJ40Jim is the goto guru. But I haven’t been able to contact him and don’t know if he is still doing this. thanks!

    Another Weber post, ugh

Well, I’ve done all that. I think. Only thing I can’t 100% vouch for if float setup. My mechanic played with that. By the way he sai the factory settings he found were wrong and would starve the carb of fuel. He kep adjusting. Anyone have a recommendation for the float setting? Got it...

After it dies you can see and hear fuel down in the venturies. probably should just replace manifold gasket. I gave sprayed carb cleaner but probably not underneath manifold. I assumed a squirt in general vicinity would get sucked in.

    Another Weber post, ugh

New Weber, I’ve never got it running good. Still original manifold. Not replaced manifold gasket. Are you suggesting maybe a vacuum leak? Pretty confident we’ve eliminated any vacuum leaks but you never know I guess. Just the manifold adapter, not an insulator. I have one I plan to...

    Another Weber post, ugh

That’s the exact regulator I am running. Fuel overflowing into venturis. Stumbling and stalling out. Hard to start initially then runs fine until it does it again.

Ok,ok, I know the answers will be throw away the Weber and go back to stock. Which I might but not so easily reversible. But hoping for some help from those of you who have chosen to endure with a Weber carb. I’ve got a new Weber 38 DGAS on the 60. Starts, idles, run beautifully. Will idle...

    Stumbling - Disconnect tach

I read in an old post that quite a few members cured a stumbling/hesitation issue by simply disconnecting the tach at the coil. I have a question for those who know about this fix. The tach disconnect only works with those running stock ( Asian) carb, correct? It is somehow effecting fuel cutoff...

    The Classic FJ60 "Stumbling/Hesitating Acceleration/Running Problem

Old post , but hope some still watching, The tach disconnect only works with those running stock ( Asian) carb, correct? It is somehow effecting fuel cutoff solenoid on carb? I have a Weber so don’t expect the tach fix will help me? Or is the tach messing with ignition system? I should mention...

It’s unrelated, probably, but my exhaust is rusted out pretty bad and not CAT not plugged up.

Haven’t had times to snap pictures. I did adjust my fuel pressure regulator as someone mentioned I was starving it for fuel. So far been running much better. But not 100% convinced yet. It is running rich and need to get that figured out as well. I’m sure my spark plugs are in great shape...

My distributor has a pertronix module installed. No points.

Yes adjustable. I had too much pressure before and I believe it was forcing fuel past the float valve. I guess I can increase pressure a little bit at a time to see if it improves the stumbling.

So, reinstalled heat shield, got the cooling fan working, and installed a fuel pressure regulator. Running great, no more gas on top of flaps or boiling, but……. Run at high RPMs and I’d,ea great in driveway. Drives great until I get to 35-40. it then starts to buck and stumble. Kind of like...

Thanks, I will wire it to a timer relay to run it for 15. I have my fuel pump on a relay abd pressure switch that cuts fuel pump if no oil pressure.
