I read in an old post that quite a few members cured a stumbling/hesitation issue by simply disconnecting the tach at the coil.
I have a question for those who know about this fix.
The tach disconnect only works with those running stock ( Asian) carb, correct?
It is somehow effecting fuel cutoff solenoid on carb?

I have a Weber so don’t expect the tach fix will help me?
Or is the tach messing with ignition system?

I should mention I’m desmogged.
Thanks!

have you tried disconnecting it to see if it helps?
The tach signal also goes to the a/c amplifier and emission control computer . A recent post here had a issue with the engine cutting out over 1800 rpm only with the tach connected. I think the emission computer relies on the tach signal to activate something when decelerating. Your desmogged weber setup should run the same with or without the tach connected. In theory :cautious:

Would help if you could post a link to the post where you read that.
