Roncriuser, I sold it because we are buying a house and every time a turn around my wife finds another upgrade she can't live without.
Biff, as far as splitting out the bearings, I would prefer to keep it all together. Have you done a rebuild lately???
I have a new in the box knuckle service kit with front wheel bearings from Marlin Crawler that I was going to install but I just sold my Landcruiser (which I already regret). I paid $197.00 plus shipping. You can have it for $197.00 and no tax and I'll pay the shipping. Bobbyandamy@bellsouth.net
Aluminum Wheel Spacers SOLD
I just sold my Landcruiser :crybaby: before I had a chance to install my newly purchased 1.5 inch wheel spacers from Marlin Crawler. They are made from T6 Billet 6061 Aluminum and fit 6 lug x 5.5 bolt pattern. They cost me $150.00 plus shipping for the set of...
I just installed new tires and wheels. The wheels have the same offset as stock (zero). I'd like to kick the wheel out a little but I've never had a vehicle with spacers and I'm not sure what effect it would have. I was thinking of going with about 1-1/2 inches. Will this change the ride or...
I was talking with a mechanic the other day who wanted to buy my LC. He is one of the only guys in town, other than the dealer, who has some experience with LC's. Anyway, he said he takes the front wheels off and the lowers the front down on jack stands. Getting to the engine is a problem and...
I want to give my '95 FJZ80 a lift but my shocks are only a little over a year old and I really don't want to replace them now. They are Rancho RS9000X adjustable and they are OK shocks. I'm not sure if I can put an OME 2" lift on with the shocks I have. Here's the specs on the shocks...
I think I'll change it out this weekend with Rotella T 5w-40 syn. I've been using Rotella T 5w-40 syn. in my street bikes for years now and it works great. It keeps the bike running cooler which is easy to tell when you're sitting over the engine. This is the first I've heard of anyone running...
I like it. And I've been drooling over the ARB's and you post up your own bumper pics. Now I'm really in pain. Why couldn't I have been born a fabricator instead of handsome. Damn these good looks!!!
At the suggestion of my mechanic I changed to 20W/50 on my last oil change. This was based on my mileage (216k) and oil consumption (1-1/2qt) between oil changes. He thought it would help reduce consumption. Now my oil pressure guage is a few needles away from being pegged. On a 20 minute ride...
At first, my oil light would come on when my oil level got to the bottom 1\4 of the dip stick. Now it's coming on with 1/2 to 3/4 reading on the dip stick. It comes on a few blocks after start-up, stays on for 45 seconds or so, then goes off. I'm guessing it's a faulty sensor somewhere...
Man, that looks good. But we're talking about $700.00 and then I'd need another $800.00 for OME. And I just spent $$$ on rims and tires. Add all that up with the divorce lawyer I'd need and I don't see one in my near future. Oh the pain!!! Oh well, at least I have factory locking diffs.
I know the answer to the following question is "Get an ARB", but funds are low so that will have to wait. Anyway, are the brush guards worth anything or are they mounted with enough strength to actually provide some protection?
I guess the reason is a found a set of Enkei rims (same ones as on the Tundra sport) new in the box for $450.00 (for all 4) from a guy local. The lowest price I've seen on these rims is $290.00 each. Just a deal I can't pass up. "But honey, I saved $750.00!"
New Tires / Sizes
I've done a little more research. Man, 20" A/T tires are hard to find and EXPENSIVE. Anyway, found some NITTO Terra Grappler 305 x 50 x 20. Anyone running these and do you think they'll fit???
I'm thinking of buying a set of 20" x 9.5" rims (like on the sport Tundra) but the only A/T tire I can find is a 285 x 55 x 20. Will these be to wide for my '95 Land Cruiser without a lift???
