I have one of these units in my hand now. I attempted to install it on Sunday but quickly became frustrated due to the lack of documentation that came with it. I opened up a ticket to request a copy of an instruction manual from Rhino, as I simply couldn't mate up some of the plugs with the...
Since my questions have gone unanswered, i'll go ahead and start a new thread and will go over in great detail the features that these radios offer the end user who plan on using it in their off-road rigs. I just got word that mine should be shipping this week.
To clear 35s you need an aggressive BMC and fender trimming. Some people have also run a 1" body lift which i'm not entirely keen on.
On my previous IFS rig (2012 FJ Cruiser) I ran a BMC, upper control arms and17x9 wheels with a -12mm offset to clear 35s. I was very happy with that setup and...
The tires on this truck are temporary until I get bumpers, since they are the largest I could run without the additional clearance that bumpers will provide. Once the bumpers are on the truck is getting 35s, gears and harrop lockers. There’s no way in hell I would take a truck with 32s and open...
I plan on getting this truck ready for the Rubicon. I will ONLY run steel bumpers on my rig based on the types of trails that I'm accustomed to taking them on.
Bumping this back up again. Has anybody downloaded any offline navigation software from the google play store to this radio such as GaiaGPS or Earthmate?
If so, can you use it in full screen mode? Also, does the tablet have expandable storage via a microSD slot or usb flash drive in order to...
Absolutely. Currently working on putting together a Coastal Offroad rear swingout bumper, and i'll be working with Jason Demello to develop a prototype front bumper.
It's a tad bit stiff at the moment due to the fact that I used 700lb springs. Once I start to load it down with additional weight (front and rear bumpers, winch, dual batteries, skidplates and an RTT) it will settle in.
Hello everyone, I just wanted to share the progress that i've made over the first 6 months of ownership of my 2015 GX460. I sold my fully built 2012 FJ Cruiser to fund the GX460 because I was simply tired of not having enough room and not enough creature comforts. Here is how she currently sits...
We also have two, both 2015 Premiums with comfort package. I bought the first one for my wife as her daily driver to replace a 5th gen 4runner. I liked hers so much that I decided to sell my fully built 2012 FJ Cruiser and start a new build based on the second 2015 GX460 that I purchased.
I sure wish I knew who was making the sleep system and what the timeline was.
I'm entertaining just getting the Dobinson drawers and building a sleep platform extension myself.
Can you tell me more about the sleep system platform? The only thing holding me back from buying aftermarket drawers is that none of them will sit flush with the 2nd row seats.
For those that have actually installed this radio has anyone installed off-road navigation software like GaiaGPS? I’m curious as to how well it works and how the maps render on the display.
I have a set of them on order for my 2015 Gx460. Hoping to have them in hand soon. Also putting together a Coastal Offroad rear dual swing out bumper. I'll post my thoughts on the sliders as soon as I get them on.
