Front sounds like a hub bearing, could be either one but if you are turning left it is probably the passenger front.
Not sure about second question, i will have to look at mine later.
I have a 2004 LC, can the Nav. Screen background be set to night time or black background all the time? I really like it dark and IMO it is easier on the eyes.
Thanks to all for saving me $300, gonna stick with the factory setup. I drive a lot on ranches down in south Texas and care more about having a quality filtering system.
I have a 2004 Land Cruiser with 140k on it. It is in great shape and running fine, was thinking about putting a K&N air filter intake kit on it, is it worth the $300? They boast improvement in throttle response, power and engine sound.
Should I put one on or spend the $300 on something else?
I know this is an oxymoron but does anyone have any suggestion for a good looking, low profile bug shield for the front of my 2004 LC. I really don not want to put one on but my paint is getting ruined from all of the highway driving in South Texas. From my earlier post with pictures you can...
I have a 2004 LC, where is the color code located? I looked on the drivers side door and saw and the gross weight and tire info. but did not see color code, it is probably right in front of my face. My rig is black BTW.
Yup, I am driving about 200 miles a day in South Texas. I will be done with this job in December so will probably just let it go until then and then get the entire hood resprayed.
Honestly y'all I am shocked at the damage from the bugs, I have lived in Texas all my whole 40 years and have never seen damage like this from leaving bug juice on your car for a week to 10 days, I washed the vehicle every 7 to 10 days.
I agree I have seen this with bird poop if it is left on...
Mgilvan, I have thought about both of those dupicolor make a clear spray you can apply but I am trying to get something that will cover the damage and then protect it?
Muddy bean, that is the problem just had my rig washed and waxed what younarenlookingnatnisnpaint damage etched not the paint. What looks like bug splatter is where the paint has been removed
I have a 2004 LC with 138K on it. For the last several month I have had to drive back and forth to south Texas. I had my car detailed today and there is serious damage to my hood and front bumper due to bug residue etching the paint down to the steel and rock chips. In hindsight I should have...
I just had mine both sides on my 2004 LC done at 130K, drivers side needed to be done at about 100K but I waited until both were slinging greese. You are going to have to do them a some point, I would take care of it now.
Never got around to fixing the gap so gonna try this weekend. What about using plasidip of flex seal and just taping it off? I have never used plasti dip or flex seal so not sure or the coverage and if it will fill the gap?
Hey, GaFJC, what do you mean you will remove it? Is it easy to remove that plastic trim piece without messing with the glass? From what i have read it sounds like that piece is attached to the glass?
Sealing up the gap is what I am going to do first, then test it and see if it leaks. I would rather reapply silicone every once in a while rather than mess with pulling the sunroof glass.
It is a 2004 LC with 135,000 miles on it and I am thinking of getting rid of it at the first of the year...
Again, all sunroof drains and clear of debris and are draining fine I have cleaned and tested them all.
Will try the silicone RTV unless there is something out there that someone says is better?
