I have a 2004 LC, can the Nav. Screen background be set to night time or black background all the time? I really like it dark and IMO it is easier on the eyes.

Yes, so long as you're willing to drive with the headlights on in the daytime. It's on page 130 of the nav manual. Push the Display button and look for Day Mode. That controls whether the screen changes from day to night with the headlight switch. The instrument panel dimmer knob has to be on less than full brightness for the dash lights.
