    Yes, I just verified that when I disconnect both courtesy switches the dash light goes out. Looks like I need to buy a multimeter and do some checking. What would cause this to occur and how would it be fixed? Electrical is not a strong suit for me.

    Got the new belt on. Life pro advice: there is a bolt on the back of the alternator that you need to hold from turning or else you will turn and turn the front bolt forever until you want to smash the engine with your wrench.
