    Clutch problem

So, it looks like I may just be dumb on this one. Rechecked the jam nuts on the rod from the master to pedal. Noticed that it was tight but only because it had threaded itself all the way down. I readjusted and re-bled the system and it appears to be working again. Curious how much life I took...

    Clutch problem

That’s my thought at the moment as well. Fluid did drain but not much and there is still pressure in the pedal and the reservoir is still completely full. It’s as if the fluid is stuck and the clutch is partially engaged.

    Clutch problem

Return springs are on there and the nuts are tight. It was operating just fine until today, which is why it’s a bit of a mystery. Edit: the clutch pedal won’t return up even when pulling it upwards.

    Clutch problem

I recently replaced both my clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder. I’ve driven about 100 miles on the setup without issues so far until today. Noticed the clutch pedal seeming close to the floor compared to the brake pedal and as I was driving it was staying further down in the travel. It...

    STOLEN!! FZJ80 southern New Mexico

Unfortunately it wasn’t yet mine and the owners only had liability on it. So the only value will be in what we can salvage from parting it out.

    STOLEN!! FZJ80 southern New Mexico

It was found about 11 miles from where it was stolen on a backroad in southern New Mexico. I live in California so it’s not very convenient for me to go see it in person. I do have friends and family in the area (that are familiar with cars) that I’ve asked to go take a closer look for me. If...

    STOLEN!! FZJ80 southern New Mexico

UPDATE!! Good news: it’s been FOUND Bad news: it was involved in a substantial crash that took out a pine tree. What I currently know about it’s state is that both airbags deployed, the hood, rad support, and fenders are clearly toast along with the lights/grill. Sunroof is also broken but...

    STOLEN!! FZJ80 southern New Mexico

I honestly don’t know, I’d assume alerting the local authorities to a grand theft auto case would get some attention, but it’s Juarez and they have more unsolved murders than almost anywhere else in the world. At least we’d get some closure on where it ended up.

Wow, definitely keep your eyes open for it. I’d bet money it’s in Juarez at the moment. Thank you!

    STOLEN!! FZJ80 southern New Mexico

This is a long shot, but figured I’d at least let the community know. A friend of mines single owner 1997 80 series was stolen from their house in Las Cruces, New Mexico last week. It was about 2 weeks away from being sold to me as well. Other than the sun damaged paint it was in excellent...

    Brake booster incorrect part?

Installed and working fine. Massive difference, brakes almost feel touchy now. Thanks for the confirmation all.

    Brake booster incorrect part?

I’ve been having braking/idle issues and have narrowed it down to the brake booster so I bought a replacement off partsgeek.com which may have been a mistake. Replacement looks far smaller than the factory one that’s still on there. Is this just an updated part and slimmer in size? I don’t...

    Fried wire from alternator

Sanded down the ground from battery and ignition coil to body. Replaced the melted ground from the alternator and the neighboring wires were all good so no need to replace everything. My one question is this wire coming off the ignition coil that doesn’t seem to have a home. Anyone k ow what...
