    FJ62 power antenna fix

Hi All, Been a while since I have posted anything and wanted to share my power antenna fix. I had done a quick search and didn’t see this already, but I apologize if this is duplicate information. As you probably know, the FJ62 power antenna assembly, P/N 86300-90A25, is NLA. You can still...

    1980 FJ40 resmog

Well hello all! First post in the 40's forum. I just bought an early 1980 FJ40. It hasn't run in a couple years and I'm just starting to "comb" through it. I've been creeping through past posts trying to soak up as much info as possible on a litany of things. My current issue is trying to figure...

    Fuel Pressure

Hey all, I have been having a "cold" start issue. I have checked what feels like a million things. My 88 FJ 62 has issues after it sits overnight. First start of the day, it cranks over, idles up to about a grand, then dumps off, down to about 300 RPM and stalls out. This goes on until it warms...

    Cruiser Just Shut Down

So my FJ62 just decided to start an intermittent shut down. It only seams to happen when it's first start up. It runs for about one minute and shuts off like I had turned the key. It got worse last night and I almost didn't make it home. I jumped the check connector to see if the fuel pump is...

    FJ62 T-Case to H55F

Hey All, I am working on swaping in the H55F into my 88 FJ62. I have read through hours of posts about the FJ62-H55F swaps. There is a lot of great information out there, also a lot of mixed tech as well. I am planning on using my current FJ-62 transfer case and bolting in up to the H55F. I...

    Input Gear

I am finally doing the H55F swap into my FJ62. I got the A440F dropped and removed the transfer case. I am going to rebuild the t-case and am curious as to how many people replace the input gear when they rebuild their transfer case. Also, is it a bad idea to replace only one gear considering...

    Front Main Blew up!

I have an 88 fj62 with a 3FE that has been rebuilt a short while back. Anyway, two days ago driving back from lunch I noticed my A\C started to get warm followed by smoke in my rear view mirror! I pulled off and got it shut down before I saw low oil pressure or rising temperatures. After a long...

    O2 Sensor Locations

So I have had my exhaust pulled for quite a while. After getting the new system I can't remember which O2 sensor goes to what bank of cylinders. You have the two wire sets coming off the main harness. One goes down the right (passenger side) of the engine and over the tranny hump to the...

    3FE Valve springs

So I got a 262 duration camshaft and now I am trying to source the right valve springs. My spec sheet reccomends Open: 270/290 spring pressure and Closed: 90/100 spring pressure. Any sugestions where to get new valve springs? Why Im on the subject, I am also wanting to get some new lifters too...

    Camshaft Question

How do you tell a 2F camshaft "blank" from a 3FE? If I'm going to get a kc grind on it, does it matter? Also, does anyone know the specs on what to grind it to for the 262 duration? I got some specs on it, but they are running specs not the actual grind....

    Engine rebuild

Well I decided to rebuild my 3FE. Believe it or not, this all began with me changing my fuel injectors ( Why im here i might as well change.....) Anyway, Im trying to get a little more power out of it before it all goes back together. So far my thoughts are, shave the head, bore over, headers...

    Bumper Question

The Front of the 62 is missing it's bumper. The original is bent up in the corner. After the lift it looked worse! So currently I run without it. I have searched the forums and got some ideas. I was curious if anyone had a good place to find one or get fabrication plans for aftermarket styles...
