For Sale  94 80 Series for sale needs HG work :(

1994 FZJ80. 250K Miles. No lockers. Head gasket finally crapped out on me. I don't have the money to invest into fixing it so it's time to let my favorite truck ever go. Hopefully to someone interested in replacing the head gasket and giving the truck a renewed life. But, it is what it is. I...

What first? No coolant in system, need to refill...

You guys are awesome as always :D We all love these trucks. I was about 15 years old when I started browsing the web and came across trail photos of people wheeling in their Land Cruisers. I became convinced an 80 series was a must have and told my Dad all about it, soon after we were buying...

What first? No coolant in system, need to refill...

Lol...Yeah I know, foolish me ... Anyway, so far it seems everything is good under the hood. Drove it around for about 10 minutes, went to get gas and back, still not a sign of smoke out the tailpipe and the coolant level is still topped up. I understand changes probably wont happen...

What first? No coolant in system, need to refill...

Just a quick update: I added a gallon of coolant and was going to follow it up with a gallon of distilled water, but the one gallon of coolant put the level of fluid all the way at the top, to the point of overflowing. I started it up and ran it for about 5 minutes with the heater on high and...

What first? No coolant in system, need to refill...

Alright, I'm going to put in the distilled water and see how it goes. With running just water in it will there be any noticeable smoke out of the exhaust if there is a HG issue? Yeah, I know not to drive the truck that much if at all. I ONLY drive it to work and back in town, like 5 min drive...

What first? No coolant in system, need to refill...

By the way, truck is a '94 1FZ-FE all stock, no mods. Thank you for the quick reply. I've never noticed any coolant on the ground, but it had sat in a grass lot for awhile before I started driving it as my DD again (About two years ago). There is no leaks of any kind at the moment. No oil...

What first? No coolant in system, need to refill...

I've been wanting to take care of this today hope I have time. I have been driving my truck over the winter with no coolant in the system because I was afraid of the HG failure dilemma that we all are aware of. Figuring the coolant had all but burnt out or leaked out in the past and I don't know...

Trans cooler lines severed! But no leaking...?!

Yeah perhaps. I only drive it to work and back in town, like 3 miles or so. Nothing I'm worried about. I would love to see a routing diagram or something with the auxiliary cooler and how it gets hooked up because I honestly have no idea how the auxiliary cooler and the radiator cooler are...

Trans cooler lines severed! But no leaking...?!

Are my assumptions correct in the below photo? So I guess my auxiliary cooler has just been bypassed by some PO and left there?

Trans cooler lines severed! But no leaking...?!

I believe so. I spent some more time shimmying my way around under the truck, and I think the top line off the hard line is running into a hose, that loops underneath the battery box, and back down into the bottom of the radiator on the driver side. And the other hard line hose is running across...

Trans cooler lines severed! But no leaking...?!

Truck is a '94 fzj-80 U.S spec. So I was doing a little inspecting around my truck and figuring out routing of hoses and such just to get more familiar with things...Take a look at the below photos: Both lines from the trans cooler look like they've been cut!? Return and sending line...

I'm guessing this can't be important?

Turn it all the way to the right and see what happens! FOR SCIENCE!

Pics of my free 93 FZJ80

If you go that route, remind me not to buy any interior parts off of it!:eek::eek: Although...Mine probably has mold growing around in there as well with the leaks from the sunroof.
