I have a disabled '96 with factory lockers.
Iunderstand everything from 95-97 would be a perfect fit, and 93-94 could fit.
My cruiser is sitting in the shop right now waiting for an 80 out there to die and donate the parts.
I've had to buy a third car just to get to work, and can't...
stupid question here...
I need a new front axle/diff and my broken one has a factory electronic locker on it. ('96 FZJ80)
If I buy another 80 front axle without lockers, can the locker be installed? For example, if I buy a '92-'94 front axle with no locker.
thanks,
Matt
Stock height replacement springs: Medium load
These are from Old Man Emu.
Full set of 2 front coil springs (861) and 2 rear coil springs (862).
The set was installed new one week ago (3/1/04)
I decided I want different springs with more lift.
Selling the full set for $230. This is $50...
Anybody have experience with this tire? It has top rankings on the "maximum traction" category on tirerack, but the miles reported is a lot lower than other tirers like Wrangler MTR's. (which everybody in this forum seems to agree doesn't do well on mud)
So can anybody give a decent summary...
I've got a rock-ding in my headlight glass. It's about as big as a bb and consequently my headlight always has condensation on the inside. Is there a material to plug that hole that will last but won't be terribly noticeable?

I've seen all the info in here about the LX450 being the same but I wondered if that continued to apply to the '97 rigs since it was the TLC anniversary edition?
A friend is shopping a '97 LX450 and I'm hunting down some info for him.
Any particular-to-model things to look for/look-out for...
alright all you students of the 80 series....
I've got a bet with a friend and a couple no 6's are on the line. The argument is about the differential history for the 80 series. He's got a '94 and I've got a '96.
His has a center diff lock switch on the dash but no front and rear locker...
I made a few changes and thought I'd play with my digicam and post a couple pix.
I took off the poseur brush guard and will wait for a new bumper/bullbar upgrade before adding anything back. I mounted new Hella 550's and ran the switch to one of the empty switch-coverse beside the side...
I want to take off my flares but when I started I couldn't figure it out. There are screws at the bottom, next up is a white plug that pulls out, but then there seems to be a slide-on pin and there's another one in the front. I don't want to force it [after I tried once and heard something...
at the request of Rogue I surfed a disco site... somebody answer a couple questions...
do they have models with 3 diffs so they can lock all 4 wheels for independent 4 wheel drive?
I've made the transition.... changed username though...
one question though... I don't see a way to insert a puke smiley-face, so I wondered how Junk would communicate?
:D
