Same color and year as mine. I paid $23k three years ago for a 2003 with 90,000 miles. You got a very good deal. If the timing belt service has already been completed, you got a GREAT deal. Nice score and enjoy the new ride.
Not sure if this is normal or not. If I leave the LC in the garage for three or four weeks with the doors locked (or unlocked - I've tried both), the battery (only six months old) keeps discharging completely. Does the security system draw THAT much power, or should I start looking for some...
That ticking sound is the stainless steel exhaust system cooling down. Disconcerting when you first hear it, but absolutely nothing to be concerned about.

The only thing I've done recently is replace the battery. I am planning on the 1.5" OME medium lift, diff drop, slee sliders and an ARB up front. Probably will leave the rear end alone for a year or two. I also need new rubber pretty soon - 33" (BFG A/T probably, but considering others)...
I'd buy it. My 2003 had 89k miles, no rear DVD and was immaculate underneath. I paid $23k. Felt I overpaid a little, but the vehicle was the color, year and mileage I was looking for. You might be paying $2k too much (as I probably did), but probably not.
Thanks, BorderCruiser! You were correct - I did cut the right wire the first time. Went back in this evening and grounded the proper end of the e-brake ground wire (the end coming from the back of the nav unit) and then rejoined the "violet" or pink wire I initially cut. I wanted to confirm...
The Thunder Cloud is growing on me. But I just really like the looks of gray. Having said that, I was most interested in everything being in good mechanical shape. I still prefer gray, but the Thunder Cloud is an acceptable second choice in my eyes. Probably would go with green next...
Nice find - that's the color I was looking for, but settled for an 03 in Thunder Gray with 89k miles. I'm sure you'll be as happy with yours as I have been with mine.

As hankinid pointed out, I grounded the wrong end of the brake ground wire. If you ground the end coming from the back of the nav unit, the brake light will not be lit. I grounded the other end.
Still not sure which "violet" wire to cut.
I paid $23k from a dealer in FL. Very clean underneath with no rust at all. Looks like it's never been wheeled. Decent price, but certainly not a steal.
Steve:
Thanks for the help, it's much appreciated - you're absolutely correct on the ground wire and that will be an easy fix. I'll just need to splice the ground wire end on the nav unit connector since I clipped it a few inches from that end to give me room on the other end.
The reason...
