    Not turning off - BJ

Hey Bennie, Just read your other post. If the VSV (hard to find but its down on the side of the engine block behind the injector pump/follow the vac lines under the intake) is toast the problem will be that the engine wont run. My VSV died and the engine would turn over but not run. The VSV...

    Loose sway bar?

There are metal sleeves on the sway bar @ where it connects to the chassis. When I put a body lift in mine i replaced the oem ones with some new pipe of the same diameter. Can't remember how much longer I made then now but it solved my problem. The sway bar bushes would pop off the mounts on the...

    BJ74 Speedo Cable

Thanks for the replies. I bought a aftermarket cable and installed it. It was a good cable and all the mounting points fit like the factory one. It is a bit shakey so I might lube the inner cable and see if that helps. No noise from the cablethough. Cheers.

    13BT engine series weight

Maybe call a jap truck engine wrecker and ask em. I'd say they ship these engines and know the weight. Just found this on another the thread......My freight for my 13B-T was 980 lbs. I would guess the crate & pallet around 125 lbs. So the 13B-T weights around 855 lbs. 400 - 450kg would be...

    Looking to buy some tools

Can't remember the brand of my torque wrench but it cost about $60 aud. It works well. Another good investment is (brake) line wrenches. You'll wish you had a set if you strip the hex nut on the brake line. Takes the pain out of losening the nut on the brake line.

    BJ74 Speedo Cable

Thanks John, I have a new cable to install. I tried just replacing the inner cable but the stock and aftermerket cables are a slightly different length. Just one more question tho. Do I need to grease the inner cable and if I do what with? Moly? Also the seal on the transmission hump under the...

    idle up valve

Where is this valve(VSV) located on your vehicle and does the valve control engine shutdown or the engine idle when the A/C is on? The VSV that controls engine shut down on my 13B-T (24v) died so I got the VSV from the idle control off a BJ73 (24V) and changed it over. It worked great. I also...
