Thanks very much. Just ordered the actron kit as mentioned. I think I will do it at the filter. It's quite cluttered where the FSM directs the gauge to be installed.

Fun sporty cars for under $10K with good mpg

I bought my 83' 911 for exactly 10k in 2005. They get mpg in the low 20's. A reliable car but repairs get costly, however no more than many of the cars mentioned in this thread particularly the M3's. 5 years later I'm still loving this car and will always have a 911. Be warned of the upgrade...

    What's this exhaust bracket for?

On the two downpipes there are these brackets on the opposite side of the O2 sensor that appear to be broken. I have an exhaust leak underneath one of them, and am thinking I'm going to cut it off and patch my leak since the bracket doesn't seem to be doing anything and is pretty rusty. What are...

    New navigation headunit, Eclipse AVN5510

Toyota was so very thoughtful as the car is already prewired where you can just unplug the factory amp. You would never see this in a German car! I used an adapter harness spliced directly into the Ecliplse harness plugged directly into the two unused harness connnectors in the truck and did...

    New navigation headunit, Eclipse AVN5510

There was no splicing the OE harness at all. There is a Toyota harness adaptor (sold seperately) that will plug into two empty unused speaker connections behind the factory radio. Also make sure to unplug the factory amp that is just to the right of the glovebox. I forgot to to this and the new...

Also did the blutooth add-on, Sirius radio and rear camera. Screen is very crisp, the photo doesn't do it justice. I am very happy with this headunit.

    Value of a salvaged 80?

All things equal, generally a salvage title is worth 30% less than a clean one.

    New navigation headunit, Eclipse AVN5510

Happy holidays I just finished installing this unit and have a question. Is there a way to enter addresses without having to come to a complete stop? I have grounded the parking brake wire which allows DVDs to be played on the go but does not trick the Navi. We also have an 06' Lexus RX400h...
