Ok, we all know that 60 series trucks have a bit of a black hole going on, with regards to what can be carried inside, especially with the rear seat up and in place....
A few years ago we had to move about a ton and a half of diesel, over a few trips of a number of miles, and I was amazed at how...
I've been using Scepter MFC's for years now, with both Viton and Nitrile (BunaN) gaskets. Sceptres change to grey Viton material has made identifying them easier, but many of the older scepter Viton gaskets are black. Some with a small notch, and some with a yellow paint mark on the rim, but...
Here's a really creative , very low tech way to recover a vehicle from an ice punch through. I'm impressed!!

Just thought I'd mention a potential parts problem. My 28 year old 60's Aisin master brake cyl (original fit) just started to leak and needs replacement. Toyota says the part (47201-60130) is obsolete, and no longer available. A check on TOYOdiy shows this part is used on 08/1980 to 07/1987...
Was on another forum and found this neat little trick for recreating NLA OEM labels for restorations;
Creating Decals - OWWM Knowledge Base (Wiki)
Seem like a nice simple process, will have to get some and try it out.
Thinking about beefing up the old aluminum aussie bullbar on my 60 to make it a bit stronger for the backroads and decomissioned logging roads up here in BC, those pesky alders grow big and fast in all the rain!:idea: So I thought maybe I'd add some stihl reinforcing!
Anyone have good ideas for...
Was in a used bookstore last week and came across a 1957 book called "Adventurer's Road" by T.R. Nicholson. It's the story of the 1907 Pekin - Paris road trial and the 1908 New York - Paris road race. I saw the Australian tv series where they recreated it a few years ago, but to read about the...
I'm replacing my rear main seal and figured that I should replace my clutch at the same time. The shop that rebuilt (seals and bearings) my tranny and TC 100,000km ago (at 300,00km) put in a Valeo korean clutch kit and turfed my factory unit, with over half the disc life remaining. Sigh. And...
Hi, I found a dealer on the internet (sonmewhere in the US midwest) that seems to be able to supply Toyota OEM landcruiser parts for a fraction of the dealer price;
TOYOTA PARTS CENTER
www.toyotapartscenter.net
Has anyone had any dealings with them???
The seem to stock a lot of diesel parts...
Hi, can anyone let me know the rivet depth on a new stock toyota clutch disc (the usable material thickness)? I know the minimum limit is .012", but I can't find out what thickness they are new. Just trying to figure out how much life my spare has left.
Thanks!
I'm sure some of you have been using this but I haven't seen it mentioned and just came across it at Ray Halls Turbocharging site.
Ray Hall Turbocharging - Free Software
I downloaded the TurboCalc shareware program, and was really amazed at the info you can pull out of it!!! Really is good...
Does anyone know if the B engines came with single inlet and exhaust valve springs or did they come with double valve springs like the 3B? I thought they all had doubles, but just came across a rebuilt B head (very low miles, about 2000km) with single springs on each valve. Perhaps the inners...
Hi all, just found out the shop that did my frame swap last summer has posted pictures on their website and I thought I'd share them around...
