    Need advice with rear shackle

I'll try that, just so I can save the stock shackle. Today went out and bought new bolts, found it hard to find metric (M14 and M18). Came home and cut some 1/4 by 2 inch flat steel, drilled some holes and walla, 2 1/2 inches of lift in the rear. Oh ya, the donor springs (free) were from a...

To the people that use their FJC as a daily driver / commuter:

I agree with folks that the FJC is fun to drive and wheel with, but I'd think twice about making it a 100-mile daily driver. Sure it's a nice ride, blind spots are managable, and handling even gets better with an OME suspension. But, at your 100 mile per day rate, you may not like pulling up...

    landcruiser dual cases

I run a SM465, rock box with a 3.313 (I believe) and stock T/c from in 73. Rarely use the 200+:1 ratio. Most of the time I'm switching between the two low ranges. That gives me either a 60 something to1 or 90 something to 1 option in 1st gear. I like it. Oh ya, I run 37s with stock 4.11 diffs.

    Need advice with rear shackle

Today removed the rear springs from a 99 Taco and can't get the shackle off the spring. It seems to be rusted into the bushing. Any trick in getting this off?

    Taco with busted rear spring!

I'm also looking at rear spring replacement ideas for a 99 Taco, standard cab. Someone thought that maybe springs from a 05 or newer Taco might fit. Anyone know? My '99 measures 55 inches eye-to-eye and is 24 inches from front eye to center pin. I believe they're 2 1/2 inches wide.

Inchworm Gear Crawler with Triple Sticks

Hmmm,,, so if a person installs only the Lefty t/c, do you still gain the clearance to push up the exhaust and have the flat belly? Suppose I should call Inchworm and ask them. This could prove to be the best mod going in the market today. Although, I bet it would negate all of the factory...

Inchworm Gear Crawler with Triple Sticks

I'm looking ahead for t/c gearing options. Is Inchworm the only one so far in this market - offering a t/c replacement? Am I right in reading their website saying that no gearing options can be made for the stock FJC t/c? I'm not looking to go bigger than 33s, but would definitely like to...

    New to ih8mud

I was expecting to hear from a few locals... ha. It would be nice to gather up the remainder of the local TLCA chapter and start up again. I made the last meeting or so when they closed down a few years back. It would be fun. Next wheeling trip for me should be Big Dogs Icebreaker at the...

Hello folks, joining yet another forum, but according to some I'm missing a lot by not being on this one. Had my FJC about a year now and slowly been making some upgrades. Have OME lift, ARB bumber, Warn 9.5xp, AllPro lower and upper control arms, skids by Bud Built. Soon to have sliders by...

Hello folks, suppose it's time I subscribe to yet another forum. I'm an FJ40 wheeler now for about 4 years or so and have covered most of the good spots here in central east coast. Let's see if I do this right,,,, here's a pic of my Toy. It's a 73, stock engine, with SM465, RockBox, and...
