Hey Phoenix Area Mudders,
I'm heading to Phoenix today and leaving next Wednesday. I have a '96 80 series. If you are parting out a 95 - 97 (not sure if the 93 - 94s are compatible?) and have a plug to sell I would like to get in touch.
Thanks, Greg
I'm thinking of buying a front bumper from Jason at Cruisin Off Road. He lives in Abby, I'm in Squamish and I'd like to have a look at his work before I commit to buy. If you have one, or know of someone that does, you live in Van or close by, and you wouldn't mind me a having a look at it...
Due to some nasty and no longer ignorable wheel bearing racket I ordered a set of spindles and wheel bearings from Dan. The roller bearings are not removable to pack with grease so what is the proper procedure? Wheel bearing grease and just push in as much as you can with your finger from the...
I have a 96 FZJ80 with 137k, the front passenger side is the problem today. I had a problem with this window 2 weeks ago, the window went down but wouldn't go back up. I removed the door panel and cleaned the connectors at the plug between the motor and the harness and the window went back up. I...
I had a misfire issue last week while on vacation and pulled the codes when I got back yesterday. Codes 0300 through 0306, 0402, and 1300 were stored. I had a loose connection at #6 injector that was the cause of the rough running / vibration that got me stuck for a day. Is anyone famililar...
Anyone in Kamloops able to help out a fellow Cruiserhead? I'm here with the family on a camping trip and I have only the basic hand tools and no place to work.
I have a 96 FZJ 80, 130k, original head gasket, plugs and wires new last summer about 8k miles ago. I've owned the truck since Nov 03, baselined all fluids as per Mud, opened up the wiring loom at the back of the engine and re-spliced the crispy wires shortly after I bought it. Since then I've...
I bought a tent trailer, it weighs about 800 lbs. empty, and is currently riding on 165 x 70 x 13" Michelins. My last tent trailer had 12" wheels and they were a disaster on anything but paved roads. Lots of punctures through the tread, blown out sidewalls, you name it. These 12" tires were...
Has anyone got a silver bullet for dry, squeaky door hinges? 3 of the 4 are starting to protest. I've been hitting them with a foaming penetrating oil that has worked for a range of duties thus far, but it doesn't seem to be able to find it's way into the hinges. I figured some of you guys...
You were in a green 80 at the Westview exit Saturday afternoon. I was in the white 80. If you are on here I'd like to ask you about your lift. Thanks, Greg.
Anyone have an innovative way of getting the ball bearing out of the t-case fill port? My magnetic finger isn't doing it and the fridge magnet with the killer pull won't get it out either. Any ideas? Thanks, Greg.
So I'm back on the road as of Wed.(Jan. 21) and I thought I would post a thread as to what happened. On Thurs.(Jan. 15), the night the site went down, I posted an SOS after having my truck towed home. Some of you may have had a chance to read it but I'll go over it again.
My truck is a '96...
About 2 or 3 weeks ago someone posted a link to a site, maybe Toy parts? It was a wrecker with maybe half a dozen or so 80's. I've been combing the old posts and the search with no luck. Sound familiar to anyone? Thanks, Greg.
I've just bought an '96 80 with 97k miles. I got it in L.A. for $13k. I live between Vancouver and Whistler, B.C. site of the 2010 Winter Olympics. so after getting a clean bill of health at the Toyota dealer in North Hollywood, I I-5ed it north for home. The truck was a joy to drive after...
