So, I tried to pull the nozzle up through the cowl; bad idea for 2 reasons. 1), it would never fit and 2) the hose is so short there is no way you could put it back together. Anyway I took it apart today . Slid the side pieces of trim off the plastic studs fairly easily, unhooked the washer...
Drivers nozzle dribbling out, can't seem to get it unclogged. Looks like I need to remove the cowl. Do I just pull the wipers and weather stripping? I don't really see a seam behind the weather strip. I haven't tore into it yet, since I don't have the new nozzle.
Thanks in advance
Tom
I went back with oem front rotors and pads( for an 08).I think it was like $280 shipped from Lexus in Scottsdale, Az. I got a hardware kit from autozone for $10. The old rotors and pads were not oem. Pads had plenty of life left, and the rotors looked fine, but had a weird blackish color on the...
It's not uncommon for a damper motor to have gone bad. Run the A/C system diagnostics:
Hold the A/C and recirc buttons, then turn the key on. After a few seconds the system will cycle through its diagnostics. It is normal to see code 21 - Solar Sensor if you are in a garage or carport, and not...
I believe its called the hvac mode servo, at least on his 4runner it was. We bought a cheap replacement( like $30). I can't find the receipt. There's a video on youtube. I'm not 100% sure if it's the same on a gx, but I thought the the blend door was for fresh vs recirculate?
Sorry, I don’t remember the name of that servo, or if it’s identical ; but my son has/ had an 04 v8 4Runner that wouldn’t switch to defrost ( seems like that would be default for safety reasons). He was able to change it fairly quickly, but he has smaller , steady hands. It was behind the glove...
Yeah I was thinking backwards for some reason ( caliper to knuckle), even though I’ve seen the video. I just hate the idea of modding oem for future owners. I really like driving this lx, so I guess as long as I can afford gas; it’s not an issue
Again showing my ignorance, since I haven’t even looked at my brakes; but would there be a way to fit a bushing in the calipers on the 2016 up calipers instead of drilling the knuckles? That would be a really thin bushing
Obviously, I’m not an expert since I posed the initial post on this thread. From what I’ve read following the links about the brake upgrades whether tundra/ sequoia/ 2016 up lx570 ; the rotor diameter is around a centimeter or so bigger than the older lx570’s . It’s been a long, long time since...
Bought a 2008 lx570 recently. 230,000 miles , runs good, clean. A few dents and dings. Doing a few maintenance things. Bought 5 liters ahc fluid( still need to flush), replaced rear lift gate struts, got 5 new tpms sensors, did the ranger method on power steering fluid., going to change all the...
Did you get these installed? If so, what do think so far? Looking at doing the front seats in my 08 lx570, maybe just the bottoms if the color matches. Well, heck they don't list the lx570 on the website. I'll email them anyway
I wound up getting an 08 lx570 with around 230,000 miles for quite a bit more. Exterior is really clean, front and rear bumpers have clear coat peeling. There is some surface rust on the frame rails on the welds , mirrors wobble ( got new bolts ordered), tpms light is on ( got sensors ordered)...
Well, I backed out. It was/ is a 2004 lx470 in Oklahoma City with 250,000 miles .water pump/timing belt done recently. Interior is clean and I thought the body was also. He was asking $8500 and I have been trying to get there all week; but he is busy at work. He took the ad down and is...
