    Front axle rebuild

I am finally about to rebuild my 85 front axle that will be swapped in my 92 PU. Does anyone on here have an exploded view of this axle? Also, just to see if I am on target for my goal truck, how would you build a 92 PU with a 22re for general trail use with 33 or 35 inch tires? BA

    Parting out 1992 pickup

Okay, I got the damn head bolt out so it looks like I will keep my s*** for the time being. Thanks for dealing with my rants. Although, pay attention because if I get pissed at the reconstuction of this motor it might all be for sale again. BA

    Parting out 1992 pickup

I'm in columbus, the clutch has less than 1000 miles on it. I just replaced it. I have not researched prices on any of this stuff yet so make an offer you would consider reasonable. BTW, if my next attempt at extracting the head bolt fails then all this is for sale. If I get it out then I...

    Parting out 1992 pickup

Welll I am getting out of Toyotas as fast as I got in. Long story short, I broke a head bolt while doing the timing chain thing and it will require machine work and the 22 RE just ain't worth the money. I will make one more attempt then everything will be for sale. 85 front axle complete no...

    Losing oil pressure on 22re

Well I found the problem. After pulling the oil pan I found chunks of plastic in the oil pan. The Timing chain guides had shredded off and were laying in the oil pan. They would get sucked up against the siphon screen and block the oil flow causing the drop in oil pressure. So if your rig...

    Losing oil pressure on 22re

I will check the sending unit but this engine is making more noise than usual. This truck was not maintained very well and I knew it when I bought it. Doesn't burn oil, it leaks it out the valve cover gasket. It is acting like the oil pump is bad. Thanks BA

    Losing oil pressure on 22re

Okay, I am losing oil pressure on my mini truck. 145k on the odometer. Is this common on these engines or should I be looking elsewhere? BA

    Harlan in 2 weeks

Anyone on here going to Harlan in 2 weeks? I have a line on a front axle from TN. The guy is going to be in Harlan over April 1st. I was wandering if I could inconvenience any Central Ohio participants to bring the axle back with you. I would pay you up front and thow in a little extra for...

Gonna start gathering parts for the SAS

I actually like the D44. They are easy to find parts for just about anywhere and there are tons of locker combinations. BA

Gonna start gathering parts for the SAS

Thanks on the axle deal. I have searched and called boneyards and checked every off-road forum I can find on the web. Maybe, my timing is bad. I have a tranny jack, me laying on my back and bench pressing the tranny,:D . It can't be any heavier than my Jeep tranny and tcase. I may be...

Gonna start gathering parts for the SAS

Holy s***. $900 for a housing. Nice but a little rich for my cheap ass. Looks like I may be looking at other options. At this point I have nothing but time. BTW, I am installing a clutch this weekend. Fun Fun. BA

Gonna start gathering parts for the SAS

Well I'm still looking. If you happen to be in that bone yard again and have time to pull it, let me know. I will pay you extra since it is highly unlikely I could make it up there to pull it. For the rest of you, keep your eyes peeled for a front axle. Having to rebuild it is not a problem...
