I tried to find this specific issue already, and nothing matched.
For years, my high beam locked (as in the 'stick' locked fwd for constant HB use) feature actually resulted in total loss of lights from headlights. The temporary flash feature worked. So I never drove with high on.
The...
The laundry list of problems my 60 is experiencing has surpassed my knowledge and time available to deal with it.
I'm getting ready to deploy and need to get this stuff fixed before I leave so my wife can have a dependable cruiser.
Anyone know reliable places in Colorado Springs that won't...
I'm driving from NC to CO in a couple of weeks which expands my purchasing area. :steer::steer:
So if you have 4 15x10 wheels and/or some 33x12.50s (prefer MTs) I may be your guy to take them off your hands on the way to Colorado from North Carolina.
Wheels need to be a bolt pattern for 87...
There are tons of threads out there with great info on this, I just thought I'd do a "how to" for those of you in the same boat as me.
Scenario:
Moving across country and I don't want to drive my 60, so I am going to pull a Penske Car Carrier behind a 26' Penske moving truck.
Why Penske...
I'm getting ready to move across the country and I really do not want to drive my 60, I'd rather tow it. I have to rent a Uhaul/Penske/whatever and I'm getting various answers from them regarding a carrier and a dolly.
I would rather use a carrier, but both companies aren't sure if it will...
Quick Help: Oil Cooler Hose Diameter for hose clamp purchase
Would 3/4 - 1 1/8" hose clamps work on hose numbers 1, 2, 3, and 5?
Or do I want the next size bigger (1 1/16-1 1/2")?
I don't physically have the hoses, they are en route and I'm basing my guess off eyeballing the ones...
MAF Mojave 4" vs Cruiser Outfitter 2-3" vs Specter Off Road (SOR) 3" Heavy Duty Lift
Couldn't find a black and white similar thread.
Which is better?
Cruiser outfitters always gets good reviews, but SOR's has shims, pins, brake line extensions, 24 bushings vs 4....SOR's seems more...
I'm going back to doing nearly 90% of the work myself, but for those times I don't have the tools or the know-how, any list of shops (general maint., mechanical, electrical, exhaust, etc...) that anyone can offer in the Fayetteville/Raleigh... area that can be trusted with the unique challenges...

I had just replaced my smog pump and power steering pump when my alternator went out so I was sick of dealing with belts and repairs.
I had a local shop I trust put in a new alternator for me and this is what I got. I asked them "shouldn't the belt seat into the pully flush?" They said no...
 I was just sitting there with vehicle idling and a/c working great then it just cut out...not just a/c but any and all air, hot, cold, a/c...all of it.
I noticed that not even the blue light comes on when I depress the a/c button...
I checked all fuses and relays and beyond that...
Searched couldn't find answers...
I know the rpms bump up a little when you turn the a/c on, but just recently if I turn on the a/c by pressing the a/c button, the rpms scream up to redline.
I popped the hood and traced hoses looking for leaks, but nothing really jumped out. There was one...
Okay, I'm gonna try to consolidate all the threads regarding specifically durabak with my own step by step experience starting today.
I have a 4 day break and I am going to prep and paint the lower portion of my 60 with Black UV durabak. I'm gonna provide a step by step with frequent...
I got the the end of a power steering and smog pump removal and install (ashamed to say, hour 12) and was getting pissed and lost track of what was what....
I labeled all the little hoses, but forgot to label the big ones cuz I thought it would be easy to remember...
QUESTION:
There are two...
I'm assuming this is an "easy" fix, but I can't find the answer.
The belt system on the crank/waterpump/air pump is not turning. All other belts and pulleys are going good and the belt seems fine. So as a result I obviously overheat in a matter of minutes. I'm in the Army and want to get this...
What in god's name is this thing and where does its hose go?
I am still dealing with this newly purchased cruiser and am going through the usual "what do we have here" scenarios, and this hose was hanging down in the wheel well and I have know idea what it is or where the hose is supposed to...
I had a 60 about 12 years ago, so much of my knowledge is gone, but to me, this cruiser seems lifted to be running 33s with this much wheel well. Are this stock or lifted srings? It is just that for some reason the bushings look newer than any of the surrounding parts and the guy knows nothing...
