I have a spare 4 speed and transfer case for late 70s fj40 from a 2F combo. I’m actually going to be moving to Cranbrook July 1 so clearing out the garage a bit. Have been working on the cruiser as well, pressure is on now. New place still has a spot for working on it and I hope to have more...
Cleaning up the basement and I have a box of Toyota trails magazines from 2010 to 2020. If anyone else would like them please let me know, pick up in Mission. I won’t be able to make the Xmas dinner or I would bring them there. Thx
I have a 75 FJ40 that has the front drum brakes. Currently has stock rims with hubcaps. I have a 79 BJ40 front axle complete. I have read the FAQ on drums but most of it talks about using mini truck parts. I just wanted to hear from someone that has done the conversion before using the parts...

I am looking for your support and generosity again this year as I ride my bike over 200kms on the weekend of August 29th to raise money for Cancer Research with the Ride to Conquer Cancer, basically from...
Hopefully link works, not sure if this has been posted before. Interesting series of videos on a trip across New Zealand promoting the FJ Cruiser. Some cool scenery down under and the host is pretty funny too.
Cheers,
Jeremy
The original motor in my 75 Fj40 had the alternator on the passenger side with 2 grooves on the water pump and crank pulleys. The motor I transplanted has the alternator on the drivers side down low and I prefer the passenger side for wiring and just to be higher. I kept the single pulleys on...
I will be riding in the Ride to Conquer Cancer again this year, and looking for your support and generosity to reach my goal of $2500.
The ride is a 2 day event riding 200km+ from Vancouver to Seattle to raise money for Cancer Research. It is a fantastic and inspiring event that can literally...
Hi,
Just putting parts back on the 2F and I have a bracket that holds the 2 fuel lines from the fuel pump to the carb on the front of the block. What bolt holds the bracket? It looks like it goes behind or in front of the T-stat housing just above the water pump???
Thanks,
Jeremy
I had manifold off while I went through the engine and went to install it again and the alum intake on one side seems to be tweaked. One half of the stud hole is the CI exhaust and the other half is the alum intake which seems to be slightly lower now causing the stud not to fit through now. Is...
Just finished putting in a new clutch. The clutch lever that connects to the release bearing has 2 wire springs that go over a pivot ball that is bolted inside the bell housing. I noticed my wires will come off the pivot ball easily, perhaps have lost some of their stiffness or need to be bent...
I just had mine bead blasted. The aluminum intake looks great and so does the CI exhaust but should I paint the CI exhaustnow while it is off or just leave it? Not sure what stock looks like other than rusty.
Cheers,
Jeremy
Hi,
Any tips for installing seat covers on the rear seats? I have the CCOT and don't want to rip them. Looks like you really have to stretch it over and wasn't sure if screws will hold or rip through? I think the originals had a wire in them.

Here are some pics from the Mill Lake Car Show in Abbotsford today. I believe the 45 was at Cruiser Days last year. My buddy had a green one like this Celica just after high school, we had alot of fun with the 5 spd until he go t-boned. This one has a Nissan engine in it? Some cool Militay...
Hi,
In June I will be doing the Vancouver Ride to Conquer Cancer, basically a weekend of cycling over 200km from Peace Arch Crossing to Mt Vernon USA to raise money for Cancer Research.
Three years ago my wife was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and thanks to support from family and friends as...
I thought I would post some pics of my progress on my 75 FJ40, keeping it fairly stock but with OME springs (thanks Steve) with 31's and stock steel rims. I had Jason at Cruisin Offroad do some frame repair at the rear bumper and gussets as some areas were a little thin and then painted in...
Hi,
I have a couple of items I won't be using on my 75 FJ40 build and maybe someone here may have a use for them:
4 New Monroe shocks for stock FJ40, 0 miles. I finally splurged on OME from Steve. $40 for all 4.
New Drivers side Floor pan, see link below. It is the correct size and shape but...
Any suggestions on where to buy a new set of lifters for a 2F? So far I have only found Man a Fre.
Also looking to replace some Head bolts, where can I find these and is there anything to look for as for as when they need to be replaced?
Thanks,
Just finished assembling my OME shackles and did not realize there is a front and rear box and part#. Only difference I see is the length, are the fronts or the rears longer?
Thanks,
Jeremy
Hi,
I have the crank pulley and keyway off, engine is on a stand. Looking at the timing gear to remove next as I assume the crank can't come out without the timing gear or timing plate coming off. Just having trouble with the gear and the plate. Any tricks at this stage?
I tried a puller...
Just wondering about any good or bad experiences people have had with them? I know they are $$$$ but are they good value, problems, issues, affect resale positive or negative???
I have heard they are noisy to drive with, not sure if Line-X helps with that. I just had my tub blasted and am at...
