Hilux Original or OME / Ironman torsion bars for 1992 IFS Hilux?

No added weight, completely stock, no hard off-roading in mind.

Hilux  Original or OME / Ironman torsion bars for 1992 IFS Hilux?

Should I replace the original torsion bars on my 1992 IFS Hilux with OME or Ironman torsion bars? Do they improve the ride quality? The car has more than 200.000 km / 125.000 miles and I recently bought new Kayaba shocks, new control arms and various other parts. Should I replace the torsion...

Will the LEVEL 8 Hauler 16x6 wheels fit?

I'm not worried about the size, 16x6J ET 0 is perfect for J70. It's just that other people had to machine some edges for the wheel hub to fit on Level 8 MK6 wheels. Also, I think these wheels need smaller lug nuts

    do these wheels suck?

I agree, but I don't know any OEM alloys for the J70 and the steel wheels are a lot heavier, about 30 lbs vs 19 lbs. I don't plan doing much off-roading, I'll use a Hilux for that, so I am searching only for alloys for my RJ73

    do these wheels suck?

Has anyone tried 16x6J ET 0 alloys like Sendel T03 , Sendel S20 , Level 8 Hauler or Vision Empire 390 ? For skinnier tires, not wider than 10.5, of course.

Will the LEVEL 8 Hauler 16x6 wheels fit?

Has anyone tried the LEVEL 8 Hauler 16x6 wheels on a J70? Would they fit the front wheel hubs or do they require some machining? I've seen that the Level 8 MK6 do need machining to fit Land Cruisers. The lug nuts' holes also look quite small on these. Part number: 1660HLR006140M08

Steering knuckle arm is very close to the rim

Yep, it's the coil sprung 73, the light duty 73. The factory wheels were 6Jx16 ET0 or 7Jx15 ET-20, if I'm not mistaken. From my estimation, it seems I can use these types of 16' rims: 6J ET 0, 6.5J ET -6, 7J ET -13, 7.5J ET -19 or 8J ET -25. This is why I was asking if somebody replaced the...

Steering knuckle arm is very close to the rim

That's right, it's not going to rub, but I don't want to use these rims. I was trying to find some alloy rims, but I can't find any that fit.

Steering knuckle arm is very close to the rim

There may be, but only very few alloy wheels will fit (I haven't found any until now). Also, almost everything that fits other Land Cruisers won't fit this.

Steering knuckle arm is very close to the rim

The steering knuckle arm on my RJ73 is very close to the rim and that makes rim choices really limited. As you can see in the picture below, there's only a half inch gap between the arm and the edge of the rim. And that is because I've put some old 16' rims from my BJ42 and they are quite narrow...

It should look like in the picture bellow. Any ideas?

    Floor to frame seal

I am rebuilding a '92 RJ73 and after I separated the body from the frame I noticed two sponge-like parts attached to the frame that were in a bad shape. Does anyone know what is their purpose? Can leave the car without them or should I replace them with something else? They seem impossible to...

OME or Iron Man greaseable shackles and pins on stock leaf springs

Are they the same length front / rear? Can you measure them eye to eye? They look like 85 mm (3 1/3"), if the stock ones are 75 mm (3")

OME or Iron Man greaseable shackles and pins on stock leaf springs

I was not measuring mine, I've seen those numbers in a post form @cruiseroutfit https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/length-of-ome-shackles-f-to-r.969777/

OME or Iron Man greaseable shackles and pins on stock leaf springs

Are all these shackles the same length? That's a really good price for the kit! stock are 75 mm front / 85 mm rear OME are 80 mm front / 90 mm rear (GS2/GS1) IM are 80 mm front / 80 mm rear (348 RH & LH)

Why didn't you chose anti-inversion shackles? You might not need them for stock springs, but still...

OME or Iron Man greaseable shackles and pins on stock leaf springs

Has anyone tried OME or Iron Man greaseable anti-inversion shackles and pins on the original leaf springs? They suppose to fit since they have two pin sizes (15 and 18 mm), but do they work well with original leaf springs, do they have the same length as OEM shackles? What would you choose...

    2.5" or 4" Lift...Shackles, Springs and Shocks

I'm mainly interested if there is a difference between OME and Iron Man shackles and what people who have seen both recommend. That I did not find after a lot of searching, the comparisons are usually between springs & dampers. The first question might sound like a noob question, I know they...

    2.5" or 4" Lift...Shackles, Springs and Shocks

Great to read opinions form people with a lot of experience. I hope you can help me too find some answers for my BJ42 (1981, diesel 3.4): 1.
