Howdy;
I have a 2013 Tacoma DCSB SR5. No rear locker. Looking at the TRD offroad e-locker, it doesn't look like the rear locker differential is swap-able between my truck and that truck as the axle housing itself looks different. The wiring harness loom for the e-locker isn't there either...
Probably no one here has run both, and that's fine.
But, I ended up with both.
Erik and I put one of the TIC parabolic kits on his 45, and it seemed to ride and flex well.
I don't know anyone who has run the Belton stuff...
If you're run it; I'd appreciate any comments on how the Belton...
Howdy;
been a while; I'm sure many of you don't remember me anymore ;)
I thought I had a thread started on this truck, from, oh, say 2000 or earlier, but I can't search it up. Bummer.
So: stand-by for some current progress-ish pix.
Nice, heavy duty aftermarket rear bumper.
$150/obo plus shipping, or we can try to line up a mudship for it.
It sure feels like it weighs 100lbs, shipping wouldn't be cheap...

I'm thinking about spending a week or so over in the Ouchita area...are there enough national forest service roads to Tacoma or mountain bike on to keep a guy happy for a few days?

The shifter boot for the 6 speed manual in my 2005 4x4 access cab is just sitting there.
The parts printout from my friendly toyota dealer shows no clips or anything securing it to the console....
Surely that can't be the deal? That it just floats there?
thx for help;
alan
The guys at tacomaworld seems to like these well enough to have done group buys.
Search here reveals nothing.
trdparts4u, a nice vendor here, does a nice deal on them.
if they work/flex/hold up, their 2" lift is a nice savings over the OME kit.
anyone here have direct experience pros or...
Howdy!
I just got a nice little 2005 Tacoma 4x4 Access Cab.
4.0 motor, 6 speed manual, LSD rear axle; 76,000 miles.
Seems to be in overall fine shape, other than the frame finish is coming off and could use wirebrushed and POR'd or something.
It needed tires when I got, it: I found a set...
Anyone headed to Moab/CO soonish?
If so, if you could help haul a winch to Kurt/Cruiser Outfitters, that'd be super, and please let me know?
thanks;
alan

In slowly reviving my trail trash, a 1976 FJ40 with a 1983 carb on it, it's being hard to start.
I charged the batt, everything seems good, but, no coughing or anything.
Pulled the air cleaner, and the carb seemed awful dry inside.
Splashed a bit of fuel down her, and she fired right up and...
My 40's switch has given up, I believe.
I have spare 78 vintage switches, but, they have a pigtail coming off them
On the 76, the harness connects direct to terminals on the switch.
Anyone have a spare functional 76-ish wash/wipe switch?
My new-to-me 1985 60 has a dead oil pressure gauge. The shop that rebuilt the motor for the PO (it blew up in 10 miles) wired it wrong, and it's range of movement is now from "can't be seen to almost nothing" on the downside of movement.
The trouble isn't the motor or sender as I've swapped...
