Need help with front end head-scratcher

“if you can confirm the hubs are not only unlocked but actually working …” With the rig parked in my garage, I can spin the front driveline freely by hand. Is that confirmation that the hubs are unlocked? IS there a way I can confirm that the hubs are actually working, without driving the rig...

I guess it could have been only one that was locked up. I'll definitely check the master cylinder. Thanks!

Need help with front end head-scratcher

Had to look that one up :) Could Birfield/CV joint be the cause even though I was in 2WD with hubs unlocked?

    Exhaust pipe installed right?

Just had a local muffler shop install new exhaust pipe/muffler on my ‘78 FJ40. They ran the exhaust pipe below the rock guard and lower than the frame rail. Pretty sure that’s how the old one was too, but looks strange. Is this right?

Transfer case lever moves way to the right in H2

OK then, I'll leave it. Hasn't been a problem so far. Surprised I didn't notice it before. Much thanks Brian, John and JDN.

Transfer case lever moves way to the right in H2

So, sounds like if I don't install the bracket, I can shift into 2L the easy way (instead of putting it in 4L without locking the hubs). Any downside to just leaving it as is versus installing the bracket?

Transfer case lever moves way to the right in H2

Just took my lever cover off and guess what -- I don't have one of those brackets! Looks like I can pick one up ("transfer shifter guide") online for $55. And from what I can tell I should be able to install it without much trouble. (Now I've jinxed it). Thanks so much for your help --...

Transfer case lever moves way to the right in H2

Just discovered that when I'm in 2WD my transfer case lever moves way to the right, without having to pull it toward me (i.e., into 4H) first. Just moves straight across from the H2 position. I'm not talking just a little bit, either. I haven't tried moving it when the rig's moving 'cause I'm...
