1994 fzj80 with 224k miles. Had milky residue under oil cap and cylinder 4 and 5 compression was 130ish each. Rest in the 160s. Swapped HG and reassembled. Head was resurfaced at a local shop and block tested okay with straight edge.

Recently replaced my valve cover gasket on my 94. After the work was completed I took it out and about 7 minutes into the drive it felt like it was going to die. Almost like it would if it was out of gas then the CEL popped up. Floored it to keep it from completely dying on me and made it back...
Removed the old factory PSP and tried to transfer the little half circle tab to the new OEM pump. It was a little too thick so polished the sides a tiny bit. Slid it in and can't get the gear to seat at the depth previously measured. I've hammered the top with a socket good. Any ideas?
I’m in the process of rebuilding both knuckles. How important is it that the rubber gasket between the felt wiper and metal ring gets put on with the ridge facing the diff?
