How to identify wires for car tracker installation?

Thank you for the recommendation. I've asked on that forum as well. I had another thought, what if, instead of messing with that loom, I only work with the wires coming out of the push to start button? What I want to get is this: I need a always on +12V (easy), ground (easy), ACC on (easy) and...

How to identify wires for car tracker installation?

Hello good people, I would like to install a GPS tracker, GT06N to be precise, in my Prado 150 series. I want to do it by myself and I need help in identifying which wire is which. I'm talking about the wire loom that goes alongside the car, by the driver's seat. There are a whole bunch of...

Odorless, oily substance from air vents

OK, I just checked it and it looks fine, filled all the way to full. Should I mention that the cabin filter is dry and clean, with no oily deposits on it.

    rear hatch actuator help

Yours looks just like mine. I too can't open the doors from the inside but, when it was locked and couldn't get it to open, I was able to remove all the trim and then get access to either one of the locks: door or glass.

    rear hatch actuator help

The above actuator looks different than on mine. Are we talking about the door actuator or the little glass that swings up? Anyways, mine was closed too when I got the car and I managed to remove the entire inside door trim, from the inside, even the bottom part. I was then able to reach the...

Odorless, oily substance from air vents

I’ll check in the morning again, but I can’t say I’ve noticed any coolant missing since I got the car.

Odorless, oily substance from air vents

    Mine isn't colorless, it's red.

Odorless, oily substance from air vents

That sounds serious. How can I quickly check to rule that out? Should I taste it? I know antifreeze is sweet.

Odorless, oily substance from air vents

I'm pretty sure the leak was there before, as the radio was changed soon after I got the car, and the deposits seem to be old. I have not seen any leaking on the carpet anywhere, it doesn't seem to "flow" down easily. It just collects dust and stays in place. It is very oily to the touch, though.

Odorless, oily substance from air vents

I changed all the filters and all the fluids when I got the car. The cabin filter was dirty but not oily or wet. I haven't checked the new one, but I would assume it is ok.

I've had the car for 3 months now and it still blows nice and cold.

Odorless, oily substance from air vents

My Prado 150 series has this issue where very tiny amounts of odorless, clear and oily substance comes from the air vents. It slowly covers up everything, especially the trim piece above the pedals. Recently I've changed the factory radio with an aftermarket one and I found a lot of the same...

    rear hatch actuator help

I have a 2010 Prado, which I reckon is almost similar to the GX460. When I got it the rear hatch actuator wasn't working, so I removed the door trim to get access to it. It's a white box held in place by a few screws. Mine was not serviceable, but a new one is quite expensive, so I slowly pried...
