Hey guys and gals, my family and I are heading up to Salida for a week in early June from Louisiana. We have done some research and have found some cool things to do, but I wondered what the Cruiser folks recommend? I'll be driving my stock 100 and wouldn't mind exploring some back roads -...
I'm leaving next week to drive from South Louisiana to Vermont by way of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. We were "loaned" an Igloo Kool Mate 36 that you can plug in to the vehicles power supply. It also has a jack so that once I reach a campsite I can plug it in to a regular outlet. Are there any...
I received an email from this guy that wanted to sell this 40. His contact info is provided. Thought I'd pass it on to you all. I don't personally know this guy, or the rig so I recommend you do some investigating. Looks pretty good from the pics though.

Will it work or do I have to find a t-case from another 62? Mine needs an idler gear, transfer gear and high gear and was just wondering if it wouldn't just be cheaper to get another case from a parting out rig.
Thanks.

Was driving home this weekend from the duck camp and I heard this whining coming from under my truck. Then my 4WD light came on, heard this awful grinding sound and I lost power right in the middle of the road. Somehow the 4WD shifter slipped into 4LO or actually somewhere in the middle. I...
The time is finally upon us and tomorrow, during a tropical storm possibly, me and the boys will finally install the new 4-inch Hell's Creek Suspension on my 1989 FJ 62. I'm going to post up all the pics and talk about how we did it. This is a prototype from Tom and I'm going to run it through...

I've been searching, but can't seem to find the answer.
What are you guys with a 4 inch lift using for shims? I'm about raise mine with a Hell Creek Suspension. Specter offers three in 2.5 degrees, 4 degrees or 6 degrees. What is the best one to use? Why?
Thanks.
Marty
I'm getting ready to install a Hell Creek Suspension 4-inch lift on my 62. I searched and found this - Napa Part #38881 for extended brake lines.
Just verifying if anyone could help. Thanks.

I have an 89 FJ 62. Don't know if that matters or what but how many extra wires am I supposed to have coming off the postivie cable connected to my battery? I've got about 4 or 5. The PO had a 6 disc CD changer installed and one of those old mobile phones in it. I'm troubleshooting some...

Well, I just did my first fuel filter change on my 62. The first bolt popped off pretty easy but the second *&^$%(# bolt nearly drove me insane! I was ready to walk right in here and put it up for sale on MUD.
But, after raising three kinds of hell and letting everyone within ear shot hear...
Has anyone here taken on a project like this? I found this out in the country at a cousin's house. It was in running and decent shape when it got to him but they took a lot of it apart to put the stick on the floor and then just stopped there and the elements did the rest in.
I'm of the...
Does a 62 have continuous power running to the lighter, even when the ignition is turned off? I have my sat radio plugged into it and when the key is out, no juice.
Okay, did some searching but I'll ask anyway for help...
I've logged about 1000 miles only on my truck since purchasing it back in October. After a tranny rebuild, I've been driving it like crazy and just about every day I discover something new that I need to fix. For the past week, I've...
I've been going out farther and farther in my LC after the transmission rebuild. Lately when I take it out on the highway some distance, I get these CHECK ENGINE lights. Today I did the paper clip trick to see what the codes meant and I got a 12 (RPM Signal), 28 (Post catalytic converter) and...
