This is a bummer. I used to order from them all the time. I'm now rethinking it. I wonder if they realize that the few bucks they're saving is slowly alienating them to the biggest cruiser club in the world? Smh..
Is there a waiting list as of now? sorry if you already answered this, I jumped to the last page. I need one for my fj60, and also are there any aftermarket air filters that will bolt on, similar to a weber? I'm absolutely buying one:)
Yes it does have a flywheel for a standard clutch. It is super burly and could be machined to fit just about any clutch within reason. Thing probably weighs about 25lb:) When I bought this engine I had done research and found that this is a very smooth setup and gets anywhere from 28-32 mpg...
I've got an original cummins 6AT for sale. Bought it a few years back for the fj60 but decided to finish another project needing funds. Around 160k(miles) and ran strong before pulled. Fully mechanical, just 1 wire hookup for glow plugs, bolts up to chevy bellhousing, comes with bosch high...
trailer wiring
I usually splice a foot or two in front of the rear bumper, everything should be there except for trailer brakes, which if you need, you will be running a wire from the brake adjuster to the back, in which there will be a diagram with most you purchase. As for the trailer wiring...
Has anyone here tried converting to propane? I am starting to a little more research because I hear that it has higher octane levels than pump gas, therefore allowing a more lean air fuel ratio. Lean ratio means less fuel per firing equaling better mileage. I have not done much pricing on...
head gasket
I have blown quite a few headgaskets in various vehicles, and that is usually the first sign, check your oil, it will be milky looking. You will also find the temp guage going up often and losing water. good luck
been there
I drown my fj55 a while back, just make sure to change your oil before you drive it, well, if it looks milky. You usually will suck up some water through your front main seal. Other than that, you shouldn't have any other worries. BUT, if you sucked up water through your intake, then...
i'll sell you an engine
I have a 94 toyota 1jz-gte twin turbo automatic swap that is beggin to go in a cruiser, I'll even throw in a divorced sammy t-case, $1700. If you don't then I will put it in my 60
lift kit
Hey Man,
I went with the ome 3" springs and a 1" shackle, the only problem I had was getting the spring hanger bolts out, (not the shackle side.) I agree, you should definitely do it yourself, it's a kick in the ass! Along with my springs and shackles, I needed longer shocks, and...
beautiful
Nice setup, it is identical to mine! I think you can get that out of it. Hey, what kind of mileage do you get with that weber if you don't mind me asking?
