I have had the front squeak since installation (2-years!), and a rear clunk. I finally emailed tech at ARB a couple weeks back and received replacement washers today.
Since Mudrak installed it, and I have an upcoming appt there, I'll wait for Gary to check it out.
I don't want to drill the crossmembers, or box, but I hear you.
Posting this for anyone else searching. Front Runner has a quick release bar, but would require ARB T-Slot adapter:

Interesting solution but I already own the Thule box, it's more secure and its access is more convenient as well. This box would be great for camping, etc.
Agreed, definitely raises it more.
I’m going to look at the Thule T-slot adapter, and ARB t-slot blocks as I’ve read elsewhere. Maybe make some rubber mats to fit under the clamps.
Because what’s another $100+ to make something work? 🙄
Not what I would have done, but Ikon Vehicle Dynamics. If they just made the Vector 5 in 18" I'd be happy. That said, I'd probably should have gone with 17" from the moment I swapped the stock tires.
I am planning on installing 61" ARB Base Rack to my 2016 LC (finally?).
On occasion, we use a Thule Motion XT XXL to help lug gear to the mountains. Easy to install with factory bars.
Two things:
The clamps on the box are too small to grab the ARB beams; Can use T- slot adapters but....

They should really learn how to use the power of the internet to updates customers. Having us contact them is bologna...
They have press releases & a website (that needs updating) to inform us. They're not a small company (vs some of the custom builders on the forum).
I have no confirmation from ARB, but they halted distribution due to this issue and are now shipping the racks again. I'm guessing they are now compatible. Definitely contact them to confirm.
I was just told they are now shipping the rack. I assumed it was a corrected design. As soon as I get more info, I will post it, but that might not be until it arrives at the shop. Hoping ARB rep will let us know. The extra inch defeats one of its most attractive points...
Has anyone seen the...
Just posted this on another thread, and remembered I started this thread last year:

Bringing this one back. I got an email today that ARB will be shipping the new design Base Rack soon, and I reserved mine for an August installation.
No details were given to me by Mudrak other than it's coming...if anyone has info, I'd love to read it.
Also, who is going full size (84") vs...
I think he's referring to those who run studded tires in the San Francisco Bay Area (Northern California) who drive 200 miles to ski in the Sierras on the weekends.
200 miles of highway, of which 30 might be under chain control. California shuts down the highway fairly quickly in snow storms...
I believe he was referring to the mounts that connect the Base Rack to the roof. I'm not allowed anywhere (California ;)) so I'm waiting until they are in stock at his place. Maybe he was trying to get rid of me. :)
@TLC2013
I only have experience with Blizzak LT in LT275/70r18 last season (San Francisco to Squaw).
Great experience. Not squishy, lightweight compared to my then street tires, and gave me great grip in the snow (though, last season didn't have that many harsh weather days).
We took the...
My supplier, Mudrak in Sonoma, California, said he couldn't get any of the mounts yet! I'm holding out for one vs the Front Runner. No hit on FR, I just want to try something different and like the idea of welded crossbeams
From marketing/sales perspective, it's the "all-in-one" suspension package. I would have gone with this when I did my BP-51 to simplify ordering & warranty.
