Unfortunately seems like the lag in RPMs is still going on. Is it possible it's a sparkplug issue? I think the service needs to be done but not sure if that would cause this.
I could take a look, It would definitely surprise me though as this is a Texas truck its entire life and the entire engine bay is VERY clean with regards to rust and corrosion, not a speck of rust in there anywhere. Anything is possible though with a vehicle of this age!
Here is a video from this morning. Looks like at first crank it didn't start at all today, but the 2nd attempt worked fine. The battery terminals and MAF look fine and I don't see any obvious loose wires in the engine bay. Any ideas??
It does start and idles fine too, but like I said has a dip in RPM first. Normal behavior in my experience is you crank it, the engine goes from 0 RPM to 1200-1300ish and then very quickly dips to around 1000 for idle and stays around there. This time, it's like the dip goes down to 500-600 and...

This is a southern coastal car, how does the rust look? I can't tell what is painted over rust exactly vs. just the rough coating from the factory. It's a '97 I'm looking at
Looking for a Land Cruiser or LX470 in TX or neighboring states. Preferably sub 250k miles if possible. Not particularly picky on color. Have $16k to spend, seeing what's out there. Thanks!
Hey guys, I am planning on buying an ARB front bumper to replace my current damaged one, however I realize that the new bumper is going to be substantially heavier than the stock one. If I want a temporary solution to re-level out the front and restore some ride quality in the meantime (until I...
