V8 vs V6 vs supercharged V6 specifically for offroad capability

I've seen this asked a lot bet haven't seen many comparisons for offroad use. Looking at getting a 3rd or 4th gen 4runner. No towing just daily driver, offroad everyday, mostly soft sand, dirt, gravel, small rock climbing. I plan to leave stock suspension, stock size buckshot mudders...

Maxxis buckshot II's 764 mud terrain

265X70R17C Very happy with them so far. They are the answer to toyota limiting its consumers to a 17 inch tire since it is the only non directional mud terrain (I know of) in that size in a load range C. Yokohama Geolander is another 6 ply available in that size and was my second choice...

    Examples of real mud tires

Looking for as many examples of real bias ply mud tires. Not the typical bfg or other mainstream stuff. The type of tire not recommended for street driving. Such as gumbo monster mudders, ground hawgs, gateway buckshot mudders, etc. Especially if anyone knows of one that makes 265x70r17 or...

    Rim width

Just got some maxxis buckshot 2s for a stock 2016 4runner in 265x70r17 load range C. I'd like to run 18 psi front and 16# rear. I have 7" and 8" wide rims. Can also get 7.5. At that psi, which rim width would decrease chances of popping a bead? Better to go more narrow or wider? Thanks.

Does anyone else H8 that toyota limits is to >17" rim

If toyota makes some of the best offroad vehicles in the world, and offroad tires have very few options in 17", then why the heck would toyota limit it's consumers to 17"? There is a plethora of tire options in 15 and 16 inch. From regular muddies like bfg km2 to super swampers. Most brands...

Class C vs E in soft sand

Which would be better suited for climbing deep soft sand dunes on a stock 2016 4runner between: 255/75/17 class C Or 265/70/17 class E I'm thinking the 255 is skinnier but can allow more stretch and hence wider footprint due to the softer sidewall, which will also increase puncture risk...

Which mud terrain is better for sand dunes

I'm between the bfg KM2 vs maxxis BIGHORN 762 vs dick cepek EXTREME COUNTRY vs cooper STT PRO . They will be used at Red Sands in El Paso where the sand can be very deep and soft. Probably 70% soft sand dunes and trails, 20% light rocks (stock 2016 4runner), and 10% mud during the rainy...
