Glad you had the same good results with it! I’ve used Folex on tons of different materials and for numerous stains and have always had amazing results! We have a new puppy currently and he’s trying his best to use up all of our Folex supply!
In case anyone has something like this pop up on their 92, here's the outcome. The wire that burned through does act as a fuseable link (goes to alternator and a few other electrical items). I took it to a local shop to figure out the issue and they said the wire I had used as a replacement...
I would have thought that too but looking at the wiring diagram it only shows 2 of them on this model and a single wire direct to the starter. Im not sure what the purpose is of this wire since the starter will still engage as normal so it's not that wire.
I drove it today and everything went...
we have a '90 FJ62 that has acquired a radio issue...Here's the back story. Recently it started running poorly when my girlfriend was driving it and she said the voltmeter spiked all the way to the top and then way low. It kept running but was slightly rough. I drove it and the battery light...
Do a video search on youtube and watch a few installation videos and it'll help a lot. I had never recovered any until recently and did the seats in our 62...and watching some go-bys really helped!
Read through my thread on this attachment...Sounds like my truck was a lot like yours.
Been working on our 62...
I think I made about 14 patches while working on it. You can make your own much cheaper than buying them - just takes time. Be sure to check the wheel wells really well, and the...
We used Folex spray cleaner (available at most box stores) and microfiber towels. Ours was pretty dirty but in good shape with no damage/tears and it turned out awesome! The cleaner does most of the work with very minimal scrubbing. I've used the product for years while cleaning up pet messes...
They probably wouldn't work for you no matter what! ;-)
I really like the Tuff Duck covers too! We just wanted to stay as close to stock as possible...You'd think someone would make the exact reproduction fabric for these. I considered the stripe pattern cover for the 60 series rigs, but...
I haven't really looked yet, but I'm not sure if the head rests would get up high enough now. I'm sure the foam will settle with time and use, but I'm only 5'11"/190lbs and it really sets me up higher in the seat. I really had to readjust the mirrors quite a bit!!
I did it myself. I spent about 16 hours total over a few days on them. I was surprised how well they went on since I had never done it before. I took my time and made sure to note how the old ones came off and just reversed all the steps and also took a few pictures along the way. It's...
Finished up our new interior on the 62 today. Cruiser Corps covers front and back, and new SOR foam for the front seats. Definitely sitting about 2 inches higher now and the seats feel great and super firm!! I'm really happy with the outcome!

I just wanted to post my recent experience since there's always a lot of discussion here concerning truck problems with no heat and motors running cool. Like many others have stated, our rig was running cool, little heat in front, but the rear heater was reasonably warm. This was strange since...
Looks like you got a great truck at a good price with nice low mileage! Welcome and have fun with it once you get it sorted! My truck was the opposite when I got it...Lots of rust down low and zero up top! Here's a link to my work to get ours looking better...
