I am in. My 68 is slow, so dont want to travel very far, but I could relay from Potato Launcher to cbmontgo and/or 1911. I am currently in Chillicothe, TX which is halfway between Amarillo and DFW area
Run across this FJ out in back of a house out in the country. Last time it was registered to drive was 09. Could not find any rust and appears to be original except for engine, chevy v8. Body appears to be in really good shape. Front fender is in the back, and looks fine. Also has Warn 8274...
68 with original engine. If it sets for few days, have to crank a long time to get it to start. If starting every day it starts right up. Also 3 times now going down the road it acts like its running out of gas for 5 seconds or so, then clears back up. Any ideas? Fuel pump going out?
I purchased the Metaltech nose guard and small stinger to install on my 68 FJ40. It came in a box with the parts as pictured.

got my new license plates today, Texas will give you a Radio Operator plate for any of your vehicles. I now have the same license number on 3 of my vehicles.
I have an old trailer that I am going to cut down and rebuild. Think I will go ahead and cut the axle to make it same width as the FJ40 so it will track.
Not using tiny trak, this radio is supposed to have everything built in. I am at 79225 zip code. Chillicothe, Tx
I do have two entries in the log, so it has picked up couple of radios.
I bought the Kenwood D710GA radio and have the APRS all set up ( I think), but guess there are no IGate radios within my range to pick up my radio. I have not been able to get mine to show up on Google APRS map, and have not been able to send out a message. Still have a lot to learn.
I have a 68, differences I see, turn signals on mine are round, not square, windshield wipers on 68 at top of windshield. Inside, dash appears to be correct for 68, as well as the parking brake. Steering column is not the same as my 68. nor are the doors. But.... I am far from being an expert.
