    Cabin Air Filter PNs

Can anyone enlighten me on the difference between 87139-YZZ82 (what the dealer last installed and charged me about $35 for, but price from Olathe is $23), 87139-07020 (MSRP $22.23, Olathe $21), and 87139-50100 (MSRP $55.55, Olathe $39). All three part numbers are in the catalog as compatible...

Front sway bar end link bushing options

I need to replace my front sway bar end link bushings and hoping to find something locally to save time. Truck has the OME extended links. Does anyone know if NAPA or someplace has a universal bushing that fits the bill?

    Server response time

Just an FYI, since the server upgrade a few days ago I'm seeing some really slow server response times every so often. I'd estimate that about one in ten server requests is met with a slow response—say 20 or more seconds. Ping times are good (under 30 ms), and the page starts to load immediately...

For Sale  H42 4-speed Transmission - Portland, OR

I've got an H42 out of my 84 (Sept 83) FJ60. Took it out at about 240,000 miles to install an H55. Was running well when removed. I have the shifter, but this will not include bell housing or t-case. $200

    Maggiolina Airtop lightbulb type

Anyone know what lightbulb size/type the Airtop uses? I want to pick up an LED version on the way home and avoid going home, popping up the tent and going back to the parts store if I can help it.

Floor mats: out with the old

Finally decided it was time to retire the original floor mats. They were basically intact when I bought the truck 12 years ago, but they got super brittle the last couple years. Can anyone who is using the $20 Walmart mats tell me how long they take to off-gas? I have them sitting in my...

    Looking for a Bianchi Volpe

I've been looking for a Bianchi Volpe from particular model years (2005-7 or 2011-12) and probably 56cm. I've only seen one pop up on eBay in the last few months and it was local pick-up only in NYC. If anybody has any leads, please let me know. Seems to be a dearth of them for sale even in...

    Captive nut locations

As I was pondering some interior accessorizations, it occurred to me that perhaps it would be useful to have a thread that lists existent but unused captive nut locations in various 60 series models and years. I didn't find such a thread after searching (the info is scattered around in disparate...

For Sale  Set of 60 series springs - Portland, OR

FREE, FREE, FREE I've got my old 60 series springs to get rid of. They're pretty tired, but if you're in a pinch for springs or want to throw in some AALs for a poor man's upgrade, they might be of use. FREE, but don't really want to deal with shipping (probably not worth the freight, but if...

Real time: Transmission to bell housing bolt thread/pitch

I'm having a hell of a time finding the answer to this question in old threads. It seems it's an oddball (m13x1.5) on the old three speeds, but I thought it was an M12 on the FJ60. Anyway, I don't have the bolts in front of me, but I need to buy a tap to chase a buggered hole. Can someone tell...

    Idler shaft/rear case install procedure

Following the FSM, it says to put the o-ring on the front of the idler shaft, install, install washer, install idler gear, etc. Once you get to the rear case, it says to install rear case, align idler shaft with bolt hole, install o-ring on rear of shaft and drive shaft in. However, when I do...

    Oil pan gasket joint

I've got a Toyota one-piece oil pan gasket on my parts shelf and I noticed the joint between the arch components and the side components are uneven with the arch parts being a little higher on the block side of the gasket (maybe 0.5 mm or so). I can't remember if my last one was like that. Is...

    Transfer output shaft pilot bearing

Anybody got any good tips for removing the output shaft pilot bearing? I've tried a generic pilot bearing puller and slide hammer and that's getting be nowhere. It's a tight space to get a cutting tool into to collapse the bearing. Any tricks folk have used?

Clutch fork boot: same all years

There are a number of threads where the poster states they ordered a clutch fork boot and got one that was too small. EPC shows only one PN (31126-60021) for all years. I would be inclined to believe the EPC, but am I missing something, or is it simply a matter that a number of unlucky people...

Part number for rear oil galley plug

I'm trying to confirm the part number for the rear oil galley plug (not the cam plug) that is on the rear of the block under the flywheel. The EPC diagram is a little unclear on that one.

    Strike anywhere matches

I'd like to conduct a poll about the current availability of strike anywhere matches. I haven't been able to find them in Oregon for years. I always pick up a few boxes in Idaho or Montana when I'm up there. Can't stand the bull**** strike on box matches. Are strike anywheres readily available...

    AC tools in Portland?

Any PDX mudders have AC tools (manifold, vac pump, oil injector)? This heat has me thinking about getting my AC up and running. Tired of the "swamp cooler" (spray bottle).

Power steering gear rebuild question (extra BB)

So I counted and double counted my BBs upon reinstallation, but lo and behold, what did I find when cleaning up? A lonely BB. Can someone with more experience with PS gearboxes advise: does this warrant disassembly to install the escapee, or will it function properly short one BB?
