No need to pull the cam towers. Generally, it’s only one of the two tensioners that fail. But, while you are there, do both. It’s about 3k tops to get it done in the Denver area. I’d do WP, serpentine belt, idlers and maybe a new radiator
My 08 had it. I got it fixed last month under warranty. It’s a low pressure leak, nothing but cosmetic really. It cost $2800 at the dealer for the repairs.

Lots of people do. I’ve run 87 for 2 years at elevation with no issues, pinging, lose of power. Honestly, the LX rides better than the LC. Unless you are going to hardcore wheel, the LX will do everything you need and then some. I to keep cars for 20 years on average. Test drive a LX.
