anyone ever measure diff temps after driving hwy speeds? I had the rear diff rebuilt with electric locker and today was the first time to drive it at hwy speeds, for about 3mi. after getting back I felt, then measured the rear diff temps and they were around 115F. also seem to have a growl from somewhere in the drive train. thanks.

When you say rebuild did you get new gears or just new carrier and bearings? When I use to rebuild diffs. I would take it up a grade under load and return to the shop and it will be in the 250* range, if you got new gears you should do a proper break in and no towing for a while.
