This thread is exclusive to planning/prepping for Sunday, November 27th.

We'll meet between 8 and 8:30am at the Stop N' Save in Divide (10 Meadow Park Drive). From there, we'll drive west on 24, then turn right on Manchester Creek Road and drive +/- 10 miles to the forest, and meet the PPRD staff at the Manchester Creek Trailhead parking lot.

Check weather and dress appropriately. Bring snacks, lunch, and drinking water. Bring recovery gear (straps, shackles, traction boards, etc.). We'll organize in pairs and set areas to patrol based on guidance from PPRD. Plan to be afield until 4pm.

I'm in for Day 2.

I think I caught a stomach bug and won't make it today.

If you have a Ham radio and want to monitor the traffic that is on the Pikes Peak forest service radios that they pass out at the Christmas tree cutting event dial into 171.1375 MHz. If your radio won't tune the last digit try above or below in frequency. There usually isn't much talk on their frequency on a clear day, but it does pick up in the Christmas tree weekends.
