Made a cannonball run to Brookhaven this am and grabbed 2 cat back exhausts for Blue and Lou. Super stoked we could get his exhaust done with no hassle.

Of
Course “no hassle” and me don’t go hand and hand.
The exhaust (2) I special ordered were for an FJ62 not FJ60. Flange was 6” short and the wrong pattern.

Quick trip to Auto Bone and a sawzall and it’s all good.
Testing the Cop motor

After some testing I took it to Renaissance for Lou to pick up for home

Love the customer Euro plate. Did that come from Custom Euro Plates dot com? lol

Cant say enough “thank yous” to all that helped. @wngrog especially.....for the grunt work, guidance, and posting. I suck.

But the oL milk jug is back home and I’ve put about 300 miles on it already. Gonna change that oil out soon.

AC charged. Haven’t driven the raptor Since, and that is how it was before the tear down.

love this 60. @fountainhead found out tonite what it might take to buy this truck.......

What kinda shackles are them long boys? I added the OME aal to mine and still am sagging down some. Think those shackles might be the ticket.

Finally. I took a little time to work on the parts pile for the oL jug.

My wagon gear panels came about a month after we moved. So. They’ve been on the back burner.

Hit the jug with some shine-ola today and ripped the garage door gasket/dust shield off with the axe mount (mind you, it’s already flipper for a lower profile)

So. First charge was to fix that. I removed it and mounted it from under the rack, still in the flipped position. I used one of the slat bolts and drilled another small hole in the bottom of the side rail to accommodate the other hex head screw and added a lock washer to that one.

Easy as pie.

Then on to the panels.

No instructions came with these panels, but they’re simple enough just looking at them.

I drilled the spot welds out for the support slats and cleaned up inside of the fenders a bit. I did NOT relocate the fuel vapor maze. I used some Velcro and a zip tie to keep it situated so as not to disturb the hose routing, which I’ve heard and read leads to some excessive gasoline odors. And as I already have some, I didn’t want to exaggerate the issue.

One other self imposed obstacle was my power and ground wires for the rear accessories. Fridge. Hangers. Etc. I have a 4ga of race going right through the panel lip, so, to avoid pinching the wires, I botched the panel and lined it with some fender trim.

I gotta say, this was by far the best fitting item that I’ve put on this truck. The holes all lined up almost perfect. There was one under the passenger side window ledge that I had to cinch to get the nut to bite, but otherwise, this was a one banana 🍌 install. No cussing. Except for being cramped up and the normal nerve pain I get in my legs after sitting Indian style….

Those panels are freaking awesome. Way easier access to the dead space in the body with those for sure. Are you going to do the tailgate one? The side panels look stout enough to mount some speakers to. Been trying to figure out how to get more than jsut the 2 front 4 inch speakers in mine hah

I’m putting a set in my 60 as the next mod. They are worth every penny if you sit in them every day.
