Search "CV boots" for lots of info, looks like the CV grease is all over the place due to boot/clamp failure. Very common, happens and has to be addressed on all of them sooner or later.

Agree, looks like crappy, broken down lithium grease to me. Don't buy those spray cans of lithium grease, stick with Valvolene premium
