Went for a drive into the mountains for Mother’s Day. Nice to get up into the hills after a long winter on the prairie. And yes that is a little bit of snow streaking through the frame in the pics.
Installed some 30mm coil spring spacers to level the old girl out. Sourced some FJ Cruiser steelies and threw on some new rubber (bfg mt 255/75r17). Loving the look and suits us perfectly for the mild wheeling we tend to do.
Decided we needed an overnighter away from the kids - so we lowered...
New visors. Went with some from an early 2000's Lincoln Continental from my local wreckers. Had to drill a few holes to make it work - but for $20 an an hours work it's nice to have functioning visors again. Bonus points for a perfect color match and the double visor function!
I purchased a block heater from cruiser parts to throw in when I did my head gasket. Pretty sure it was a Kat's brand. Couldn't get it to fit. Tried everything including trimming the screw and it kept popping out. Binned it and plugged the hole. Started everytime in -30 celcius this past winter...

I agree with LS1FJ40 and Red Merle - a case of OEM Toyota filters are on order.
Funny thing is: when I did my head gasket and other projects, every part I ordered was OEM - didn't even think of OEM when I bought my case of WIX. I know better now.
