Decided to replace the bolts on the face of the lockers (6 each side) and added those to the order for the bushings and cushions (see above). I know I am repeating myself on this subject but I checked Partsouq and every one of those parts is...
have you taken the plastic covers off the top of the head and checked for water in the spark plug tubes? It sounds like there may be water in there
+1 on what Marvelicious said about pressure washers as well, garden hose only I use and for...
Every so often I get pleasantly surprised that a fairly esoteric part is still available from Toyota. I took my clutch and brake assembly apart today and found the bushings circled below in bad shape. I also broke the cushion circled below...

Thin film coating, more durable than paint and thinner than powder coat or paint for those areas you don't want the mill build. I paint everything with it...

I painted mine too, but expect they’ll get scratched up over time taking wheels on and off. Could be your friend was referring to this area where the wheel butts against the hub. That area is left bare steel on most vehicles. Easy enough to...

VW and their diesel reputation got trashed, but there are still tons of older 1.9Ls out there...
Back in a hard top. A much more relaxing drive, and no more cool air escaping from the Vintage Air AC
Had a hitch receiver welded into the stock rear bumper.
We added reinforcement on in the inner channel, and a 7 PIN harness and Anderson...
Would have preferred to use GTAW on several of these projects instead of GMAW, especially on the ones with no access to the back side.
One conclusion I came to on the subject is that if I do anymore patch welding, I’ll only be using 18GA...
I would guess between 90 and 95% and wouldn't be surprised if the number wasn't closer to 95 than 90. That's not to say we won't replace more than 5% given cracks, natural cut lines, etc. but I would still expect that overall number to fall...
Does anyone have any opinion on painting the front (or rear) hubs? The only part that will be visible if running hubcaps will be part of the marked area on the front hub. Would be nice to paint the face, etc. but a friend that owns a shop...
