No need to buy traction boards. A shovel works fine. Maybe if you are traveling over sand dunes for extended periods, otherwise they are mostly for show.
Make sure your spare tire is aired up. If you have a portable pump bring it. You will find airing your tires down to be very important for...
In the meantime, can you install some aluminum angle or square tubing to act as supports / stiffeners for the panels? You could drill and bolt the panels to the angle in several locations to minimize the flex and noise.
My vote for Dometic 55L fridge, I would not go bigger. Benefit is the fridge will make ice cubes for mixed drinks ;)
I have used my fridge for 5+ years with no issues, knock on wood.
I don't know if you shop at REI, but they sell Dometic and you can use your rewards / coupons on fridges.
Just...
I use the "Compact" version of this: The Best Quick Oil Drain Plugs - No-Spill Systems - https://nospillsystems.com/ and it works great with my Slee skidplates, I do not need to remove the small access plate in order to drain the oil. The hose goes right into my milk jug, don't even need a...
No Kings but I am nearby in RWC, I'll keep an eye out for you around town!
I have been really happy with my Old Man Emu setup on the cruiser. Less maintenance than Kings.
Those are awesome, especially if you want a true ditch light pointed towards the sides of the road / ground.
Now to see how hard it is to get them in the US.
I have used Staun tire deflators with good luck. Once set, they air down automatically and stop releasing air once at the pressure setting you set. Takes a few minutes to drop air pressure by half, roughly.
Food for thought, you may want to consider an 8" wide rim for 10.5" tires. 8.5" rim does well with 12.5" or wider tires.
If you wheel a lot, the wide rim will tend to not hold the tire bead as securely when aired down.
Also just my personal preference to have some tire bulge beyond the rim face.
The 200 is capable.
The big question for me would be: Is spending the money for buying and building the 200 worth the comfort??? Selling a built rig never seems to get full return on investment, maybe a built 80 is different. Then you will need to fix the common issues of an LX and then...
I have been watching that product. Unfortunately for me, I need a CARB certification to pass smog in CA. I also saw something that it was not a direct fit (diesel vs gas). I would love to install something better than OEM, we have very fine silt here in the desert of western USA and it gets...
Only real way to know is to conduct direct testing. I would stick to the OEM, looks more robust media but hard to tell when comparing new versus old.
Even if I am replacing 4 filters a year, $80 cost difference is not enough to make me take a chance unless I tested it myself.
