Thanks for your replies. I know that the Diesel model has heavier torsion bars to account for the added weight, so it should be fine.

Hi all, I have searched, but did not find good answers on the ability of the AHC system to handle the weight of an ARB front bumper (without a winch). They said the bumper is about 60-0 kg. Does anyone have any experience with this? I have a 06 100 series with the 4.2 1HDT- Fte. with factory...

True, but this was no Toyota reman, The nuts were all rounded off or had chisel marks, like they did not have the right size wrenches..I understood that toyota did not sell oem seals for the racks, so obviously chinese seals etc

The rig has always been maintained by the dealership here, so I thought that the rack would have been OEM, but when I pulled it out and inspected it, it was a rebuild. There were witness marks on all the nuts and chisel marks on the big nuts. Sad state of affairs that a dealership would resort...

In Central/ south America there are lots of LC with AHC around. Also lots of rear lockers and pretty much all of them are Diesel. and probably 50/50 manual/auto. I do not think there are any Lexus here though.

The upshot was, $4200 from toyota Costa rica....No ! Partsoug was $1150 +200 shipping to the US then 350 to a forwarder for duty shipping etc....Maybe. Then I tried all the US based Toyota parts places. They were about $560 plus $75 shipping to the forwarder in Miami then $250 more to them...

I blew the steering rack yesterday coming home from a country drive, Oil is pouring out of the passenger side oil seal. Funny it just went all of a sudden. Anyway, I have searched the site but can not find a lot of info on the best place to buy a new rack or if a reman toyota rack is available...

Before you buy any parts, check all the major bushings for wear.. Will the AHC go up to high when commanded? will it go down to low,t hen back up? if it will, then the system may just need to be set up again. Check your heights, front to back, the front should be about 1 inch or so lower than...

Does no one have any idea if this unit is faulty?
