With cold start you should have around 1000 to 1100 rpm
When getting warm it drops to 850 rpm.
So check if your cold start vsv works at all.
When warm adjust the rpm to 850 with a 10mm spanner . There is a nut which controls the idle rpm.
Just make sure your pinion trust washers sit correct when reinstalling the cross shaft.
Can also be a pain when installing the long drive shaft back into the diff when working alone.
No, you only need to remove cross shaft ,spider block and thrust block.
There is a threaded pin behind a button head screw which needs to be removed first.
Then you can take out all above named parts.
Move the axle towards the center to reveal the c clip.
That's all there is to it.
Just took 2 alternators apart and this is how the pumps look inside.
Almost no wear marks.
Your center part looks way different.
The vacuum it creates is kept in the system by means of a one way ball valve. That is the shiny part on my picture.
Yes, the Van Wezel radiator.
Didn't know about the cap until i got it delivered so i sourced one at the local autostore with the right opening pressure ( 0,9 Bar ).

You are still talking about washers on the lines, but you never confirmed if there are crushwasher installed at the seat of the injectors. ??
No washers means air/diesel flow / blow upp from the cylinders past the injectors / rubber seals.
That is what bj70bc is also referring too,
