I agree with you but I messed with springs and spacers and BS for like two months and then a corrected that geometry and it went away. Maybe a fluke idk, just sharing my experience
I thought it was because my rear axle was really off center and the weight of the fuel tank would make it lean left
Mine leaned until I corrected the geometry of the pan hard bars. Have you done this? They should be as close to parallel to the axle as possible. There are also adjustable bars for sale that will do the job for now, or drop down brackets to correct it. Messing with the springs never helped my lean
I wasn't assuming you didn't know, I was mostly thinking out loud. Hopefully didn't come across rude.
I'm very curious to see what you guys can get out of these engines. Definitely not encouraging anyone to try to blow up their stuff.
Some timing seemed to help with off the line response but...
You're not going to like what I'm thinking but ive seen it happen. A lot of times on a fresh system like you installed people will fire up the vehicle and the reservoir will get sucked dry in seconds and by the time people get more fluid in it the pump has cavitated and gotten hot or damaged...
Would follow their guidance for sure. While NA advancing the timing does make a big difference in my opinion. You just hook up a timing light and rotate the distributor a little. Might be worth experimenting. I went 10 degrees on NA, id probably do like 3-4 on yours and see how she feels. It'll...
Got some reduction gears from @swamp-thing. Getting ready to go to 10 under on high, 3.1:1 and part time kit. My vicious coupling is starting to lock up after long highways drives and makes my 80 sound like a jalopy when I pull into gas stations. The tcase gets pretty warm driving from salt lake...
So after I let that dry completely I reinstalled the plastic plugs into the tub. I didnt bother sealing them or anything, I think they fit tight enough. Next I applies the Kilmat insulation. I used a vinyl roller I found in the flooring section at lowes for a lot of it. Its good to have a second...
I have been meaning for a while to get a thread up for how I did my carpet and show some pictures of the process. I will preface this thread by saying there are precut kits available which I'm sure are great, but this is a cheaper option for those not looking to spend 500-1000 dollars. Our...
Stick with it man. It sucks but it's well worth it. You can use dry ice and put it on the factory insulation, it chips off well when frozen. You can also freeze it with canned air. I also used a putty knife and just hammered on it.
We did raptor liner, kilmat, jute pad and then a high stretch...
Sorry for the spam but also wanted to share that Lee (solvefunction) was brave enough to winch to the bumper ive been making myself. I weld for work from time to time but always good to see the stuff you make hold up.
