After a little trouble shooting I tracked it down to the module inside the mallory dist. Replaced that and she cranked right up, ended up replacing...

so once I get #1 cylinder where I need it which cylinder should my rotor point to once the distributor is fully seated, #4? If so do I move my wires on the distributor to make this post #1 with the cap on?

I have a 74 fj40 with a mallory series 57 distributor that the po installed. I lost spark and traced it back to this magnetic breakerless ignition module. Got the module replaced and I now have spark the only problem is I had to remove the distributor to get part numbers and I now can't get her...
