Window Rocket - who’s tried it?

Not to completely derail this thread or anything, but could a similar use of a better relay and a DC to DC booster be used to increase the air flow output of the AC blower motor? Just wondering, as it is hot here.

    Intro Thread / Hoping I didn't buy a 30K lemon...

BTW, did OP buy his own copy of the CARFAX? I seem to recall someone on this forum saying they had bought a vehicle relying on the CARFAX they received from the seller, and it turned out that the seller provided CARFAX had been photoshopped to hide some things.

You would lose that lawsuit. Now I agree with you that it is generally "buyer beware". But sellers can't just lie. Any seller that knowingly lies about a material fact is committing fraud. And while we are at it, "title jumping" is illegal in many states. The OP should look into...

Car dealers are not allowed to knowingly lie about the vehicles they are selling. That would be fraud. If anything, a dealer should be help to higher standard than a regular seller or even a casual flipper. I don’t know if this guy “lied” in the legal sense, but he may have. The OP could...

Since the auction didn't reach the reserve couldn't you have done an inspection before accepting the sellers follow up offer? With the carpet replaced I would be worried that this 80 spent time underwater after a hurricane.

Will the new 3.0l Duramax I-6 be a viable repower option?

That is nuts, but they should add two more cylinders and call it a Wagler 3/4 Max.

Will the new 3.0l Duramax I-6 be a viable repower option?

I read great things about that engine. Straight Six. Great power. Great efficiency. But I also read that it has a belt driven oil pump. And you have to pull the tranny to change the belt. That would seem to be significant issue for those of us who like to keep things going for a long time.

    Under Hood Fuel Pressure Gauge?

Zero seems a little harsh, but I asked for it. :) OK-- new idea Instead of putting a pressure gauge on the return line-- how about putting a clear fuel filter or even a just a small section of clear fuel line on the return line? Again, where that red arrow is pointed. And again, I am...

Jumping 12V to B+ to Test Fuel Pump?

Thanks much Jon-- So is the electrical connection in doing this good enough to get you home, or is this something that should really only be used for testing purposes?

Jumping 12V to B+ to Test Fuel Pump?

Clarification request-- this is for the 93/94 OBD 1 vehicles? And it uses the 93/94 diagnostic port? I guess I should go find the @jonheld post.

    Under Hood Fuel Pressure Gauge?

While I agree with you that a little preventive maintenance and replacement goes a long way, there is still always a chance that something will fail. Even if you preemptively replaced the critical components of your fuel system they could fail. New relays fail. New fuel pumps fail. New...

    Under Hood Fuel Pressure Gauge?

I was reading the Emergency Troubleshooting Thread and wondering if I could actually use it during a time of need. One thing that seems potentially difficult is determining if your fuel pump is working and providing fuel. And I remembered that about 20 years ago by brother bought an FJ60 in...
